Staff are friendly, they offer gluten free and the toppings/flavours are good. I was really excited to come here. However the shop reeks of rotten coconut oil and the doughnuts themselves taste overwhelmingly of it. I think if you can't keep ontop of using fresh oil you need to use something that won't spoil so easily. Especially for the high price they charge. I had hoped to buy a box but I couldn't finish one because of the gone off oil taste :( Edit: I don't mean to imply they re-use oil, but that they are using oil that has gone off/been open too long. They got my donut fresh from the back and it was served hot to me since there were no gluten free flavours I wanted out already, and my partner's normal non-gf donut also tasted of off coconut to him and was from the window display.

I found this place in google maps and they have a lot of options for gluten free if you are celiac or have an allergy. The waiter was very knowledgeable when he asked me if it was a preference or it was an allergy (to gluten). Which I like. At so many places they don’t really train their staff about cross contamination and this is a plus :) I ordered the gluten free avocado toast. It was good, it had poached eggs, avocado, and feta cheese I believe. Just keep in Mind that if you order for GF it’s 50 MXN extra for the bread, and the size is smaller in comparison to a regular gluten bread :(. But that’s normal and common for gf bread. We also ordered the pancakes to share. They were very good. They came with 3, with side of syrup and dulce de leche, also ordered an Americano and it tasted very good. I liked the touch of the warm milk for my coffee. Usually they give it cold in other places and the drinks turn cold faster. My bf ordered the chilaquiles, I believe they originally come with cauliflower chips but they accommodated to serve with regular corn chips. So far very good if you have food restrictions, allergies. I believe the owner was there and he was walking around greeting and asking if everything was okey. Love the service. It’s always hard to find gf food or restaurants that are accommodating or have knowledge about it, so this is a must in Tulum.

Really nice gluten free pasta (they have lots of options and I went there especially for this reason). I had gluten free spaghetti with the clams and cherry tomatoes and my partner had a delicious calzone. Lively street with a nice vibe.

I came here for the first time and absolutely enjoyed my experience! I'm always hesitant to try new restaurants because of my food sensitivities but my server, Eduardo, was very knowledgeable about the menu and pointed out some sugar free and gluten free options including the chocolate brownie! It was so delicious. Another one of my favorites was the Sopes De Maiz, an appetizer that had tomato, avocado and sprouts. I am so so happy to have found a restaurant that is not only healthy and good for the body but also good for my taste buds as well! 10/10 will definitely be returning back very soon.

If there is one place in Tulum that one needs to eat at, it is Onyx Tulum. The food is simply incredible! This place is great for people looking for great gluten free options and the staff are so good about ensuring my daughter who has celiac disease has good food to eat. The highlight of the whole amazing meal was Barbara. She is by far the #1 hospitality professional that we had the pleasure of meeting. If you’re lucky you get to have her be your guide thru the amazing culinary and drink experience at Onyx.
