No MSG No Garlic Foodie
We decided to visit Victoria after finding several restaurants offering vegan food. Since Be Love is dedicated vegan and also gluten free, it was my first choice. However, there wasn't that many items on the menu to my taste, but since they promise seasonal items, I had hoped that there would be some pleasant surprises. The rest of my party decided to order organic red and white wines by the glass. I chose Earthblood Tonic juice made with carrot, beet, celery, kale and ginger. It was very refreshing and looked stunning. The Mac Bowl appealed to me because it claimed to have braising greens, seasonal vegetable, and broccoli. I was warned that the sauce contains garlic, but I took a chance hoping that it would be black garlic rather than fresh garlic. Fortunately, the garlic was hardly noticeable and I was not affected. It was a very rich dish and I loved the creamy taste of the sauce. The roasted hazel nuts were strange and tasted as though the vegetables still had soil/sand/grit. I was disappointed with the scant amount of greens and vegetables, and if I had known, I might have asked for extra vegetables. And of course, I could not finish it the macaroni. If it wasn't for the 'gritty texture' I would have rated this four stars. My friends ordered the daily special gluten free ravioli with nettle. They all loved it. We also shared a platter with flatbread, cashew cream cheese, apple & beet chutney. I was only able to have one item because the rest were heavy with garlic.
A charming spot known for its flavorful tapas and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for a fun night out or casual gathering.

As a celiac, this place was easy to share plates (something we don't often get to do with our friends and family). Loved all the GF options on the menu and the variety. Food was so delicious.
A vibrant spot with a lively atmosphere and hearty portions, perfect for a memorable dining experience any day of the week.

Amazing food, very friendly and accommodating service, and the vibe is incredible - especially when the band is in the house.I don't know what they put into the focaccia bread, but if go there and pay full pop for the bread alone. It's like pastry - a little crisp on the outside, delightfully fluffy inside, and the dusting of salt flakes...magic.
When I say the food is amazing, I mean the food is AMAZING (the 'Sophia' is as tantalizingly delicious as its namesake).
Extra points for the gluten free pasta option!
This spot offers an incredible variety of options, making it a must-visit for anyone craving a memorable dining experience.

Cactus club is great for celiacs. They have a dedicated fryer. Staff are generally nice about allergies, I’ve only had one server who wasn’t kind. Otherwise I’ve been lots- it’s my go to restaurant living with celiac disease. Thanks for making eating out possible!
Best burger in town and love the gluten-free bun. One disappointment was I ordered an Amoretto sour martini and they did not have the Brandy cherry. Boo Hoo! It really makes the drink special.
Service was great! They were super accommodating of my gluten and dairy allergies. Defiantly a spot of fresh seafood. The oysters were great, steaks cooked perfectly.
With a diverse menu and a chill vibe, this spot impresses ramen lovers and casual diners alike with its delish offerings and cozy atmosphere.

I want to come back to Victoria just for this restaurant. Every single dish was fresh, delicious, and a unique combination of flavors. Food came out at the perfect cadence and staff was super attentive. We ordered 2 smaller plates and two of the larger ones plus a dessert which was a good amount for two hungry athletes. Also plenty of gluten free options! This is a BC farm to table style restaurant you don’t want to miss.
We’re in town for our anniversary, could have picked any place to eat but chose this location. What a disaster. Apparently, a reservation means nothing to these folks. Food - calamari had two massive lumps of solid squid multiplied by 10 pieces stuck together. Mashed potatoes were whipped so much, they were just a lump of gluten. I asked for my prime rib to be medium - I received raw on one side and slightly brown on the other. My plate was less than desirable to say the least. Not sure why I would get a mini cup of ketchup with prime rib - had to ask for horseradish!! Thank you for an awful 13th wedding anniversary dinner!
