I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back "Hello, Paulina!
We have several gluten-free and vegan options on the menu. From tapioca, salads, smoothie bowls, shakshuka, pancakes, etc.
We'd also like to inform you that all toasts can be served on gluten-free bread or with a baked sweet potato base instead of traditional bread. You can see our menu at: https://www.zenithcaffe.pt/EmentaZenithPT.pdf // https://www.zenithcaffe.es/MENU_ZENITH_ES_ENG.pdf However, given that all the products are made in the same kitchen and that we have very limited space, we can't guarantee 100% that there won't be any cross-contamination, even though we take every possible precaution. To date we have never had any reported incidents
If you come to visit us, we suggest that you inform the manager immediately when you order, so that we can take extra care. We hope to see you soon, Zenith team "

My family and I all agreed that this was the best meal we had during our entire trip to Portugal. Sooo many creative flavor pairings. Options for veggie and gluten-free eaters, which is important to us. Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time, but we didn't mind waiting outside for a few minutes and watching the local nightlife. They even offered us shots on the house of Beirão which was super sweet of them and also my new favorite liqueur. Thank you!

They have gluten free soy sauce and took extra care to let the kitchen know that my meal must be taken care of in terms of cross contamination. We went for an assorted plate where the chef chooses what sushi's are made. The quality of the fish is definitely noticeable. Everything is very fresh and I didn't even really use the soy sauce because I wanted the full flavor of the food.

Super nice breakfast spot. We were upstairs. Ingredients are fresh. Food and drinks come fairly quickly and are tasty. Friendly staff. They also have gluten free bread option. (Not taken). First time I had sourdough bread and scrambled eggs with truffle. Second time I had caesar salad. Super tasty.

Amazing! Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had in my life!!!(you have to advise them 24 hours in advance for the GF dough) The non-gluten free pizzas are also very very good! Staff is very helpful and funny. I will come back here for sure!

Busy restaurant, we asked about gluten-free options the first night and were shown 3 things on the menu. The second night, we were given a gf menu. Perhaps the staff didn't know about it but this seems kind of important information to know.

One Coyo margarita and one order of 2 birria tacos. Holy cats the tacos were good. I'm an American, moved to Portugal 3 years ago and only know American Mexican and Tex Mex and the birria tacos were simple, oh so good and gluten free. Next time I'm ordering El Pastor tacos. Quick walk from Cais do Sodré train station. I'll be back for sure. And my server suggested the birria tacos. He is a very smart fellow 🙂

you can't study or work when the room is half empty.
The food is poor and the staff are rude.
for celiacs there are two proposals on the menu and the dishes cannot be modified despite the fact that they are almost all gluten-free.
the bowls should be in season: it's May and they put mandarins and kiwis in them.
Terrible!

Get reservations because it is busy! Our “WOW” meal was the pumpkin, feta, fig dish. Everything else was great. The atmosphere was incredible and the location alone made the walk from our hotel worth it. The service was great. They had plenty of gluten free options for my fiancée and The menu had all allergies clearly written.

Delicious breaky spot in Lagos with great coffees too. They have gluten free bread so can make most things coeliac friendly! Well priced too. It is very popular so you might struggle to get a seat or may have to wait.
Had an issue with our order and the staff sorted it out graciously took the meal off the bill.

We stumbled upon this wonderful venue to escape the rain. Then we were enchanted. We enjoyed an excellent wine tasting and made some great friends with other guests. When we asked about a celiac-friendly restaurant, we were promptly invited to the restaurant at the back of the shop. We could hardly believe the dreamy ambiance that awaited us. This was followed by an unforgettable dinner with wine pairing. When we left the venue several hours later, it was still raining, but our mood couldn't have been better. We left slightly tipsy and with our stomachs full of delicious food. A very special thank you goes to the entire service team. We haven't experienced such excellent, attentive, and friendly service in a long time. We will definitely be back.

I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back " Hello Paulina! Thank you for your contact. Even though we offer gluten free options, it’s important to mention that any restaurant that prepares its dishes in the same kitchen as others with gluten has an obligation to warn of the possibility of having allergenic traces. Our team is extremely careful, but since our dishes are all made in the same kitchen that already implies a risk of cross contamination, even if it’s a small one. That’s why we understand it’s extremely important to warn all of our guests, so they are aware of the conditions we work in and then they take the decision of visiting us, or not. Specially because we do not have a separate kitchen, fridge, utensils and instruments to cook the gluten free dishes. Thank you, the Boa-Bao team"

This is a very small tapas bar in Porto. A lovely scenic side street with outside seating.
It was recommended to us by our hotel when we asked for something not touristy. This did not disappoint!
I also need Coeliac/Gluten Free.
No GF or allergens listed which is pretty normal for Porto, however, the staff member I chatted to after picking what I thought would be safe, was super friendly and understanding. She said that while a shared kitchen, they'd take precautions for me. I suspect I could have a lot more than I ordered if I wished.
I had a few different items on the menu and a couple of glasses of wine, and it was all excellent.
We went at lunchtime, and sat outside. It did rain, but being Irish, we were prepared so stayed sitting outside, and only moved inside to finish a glass of wine.
Highly recommended.
Enjoy a vibrant spot with a dynamic team ready to offer plenty of thoughtful options for guests with specific dietary needs.

Great beach restaurant with a view of the beach. The food and cocktails were great and service from Tiago was exceptional - knowledgeable about gluten free options, great with the children in our group and multilingual. We especially loved the Cais Old Fashioned and the smoked pork dish.
Great menu with many special dishes. Personnel is extra friendly, kind and helpful. There are some gluten free dishes and many vegan. Moreover, they are prepared to listen to your wishes and adapt a dish accordingly if possible. Besides a la carte menu, there are additionally a daily soup and one main dish. Two main dishes and a juice costed 25-30€. It was very tasty and looked quality prepared. Tricolour fusilli with salmon was quite big portion whereas sautéed octopus with sweet potatoes was a bit too small portion.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but this needs to be said. We had two people in our party with serious gluten and dairy allergies, and we chose this place specifically because they offer a separate gluten-free menu. We asked multiple times to confirm everything was safe, even after the dishes were served because something felt off. Sure enough, both meals had gluten and dairy. One of our friends had even already taken a bite of her meal! The staff refunded us, but the manager seemed more interested in deflecting blame than making it right. It’s a shame, because it could have been avoided with proper communication and care. NOT recommended for anyone with allergies!

Stumbled across this restaurant after almost giving up. Being Celiac can be tough when eating out while travelling. The restaurant accommodated me by preparing a cod lunch, without gluten, which melted in my mouth. The cod was so fresh. My husband and I shared it along with a vegetable salad which was fresh and so satisfying. The service was excellent and a great attractive location, right on the river.

This place should have 5 stars. All of the food was so fresh and well-presented. The staff were attentive and polite. I have Coeliac disease and they communicated with the chef to find out what I could and couldn’t eat from the menu. I had the ceviche and traditional sushi platter, my partner had the shrimp tempura, chicken gyoza and Fusion platter. It was all delicious! We would come back in a heartbeat. Don’t be put off by the closed door upon entry- they’re just keeping the place air-conditioned.

Excellent, when you just enter a restaurant and you find workers having lunch there, you know you've stumbled upon it. What if!
I tasted the cod made in Braga, that is, floured (gluten-free) fried, four vegetables and very fine potatoes.
Delicious, although I find it a little drier than ours, but quite good.
On the other hand, whoever chose the rice with octopus was not so happy
