We attended this cafe on 19/12/2024 for some brunch. I picked it based on the number of grey nomads with motor homes and wearing Hawaiian shirts that seemed to be seated out the front eating, figuring that this was a good sign, and I was not disappointed. The prices are what you would expect from a food outlet at a rest stop on the Hume Highway, however what sets this cafe apart is the exceptional quality of the food. No disappointing, day-old refrigerated service station sandwiches here. There were a lot of options to choose from in the pre-made display, which looked like every item had just been made, but also a menu to order from. I ordered a fruit salad, a California roll sushi and a Green Dream smoothie. All the ingredients were very fresh and healthy and it tasted great. The sushi would have been good quality even for city standards. The smoothie had banana and mango in it, so it didn't taste like your typical "green" drink, but it was a well balanced taste. There was something on the menu for just about everyone, no matter what their dietary restrictions - low sugar, gluten free, MSG free or vegetarian. The cafe was spacious and comfortable with lots of light. Whether you are in a rush and need a brief respite from the hurly burly, or are taking a trip at a relaxed pace, this is the ideal venue for a snack, a light meal or a hearty one. I highly recommend J&B's.

Clean, healthy food, well presented. Good options for coeliacs. Great seating area outdoors. Pre ordered a loaf of gluten free bread and picked it up on the drive between Canberra and Melbourne. The fresh bread was the best gluten free bread I've eaten.
Enjoy a cozy spot with great outdoor seating, fantastic desserts, and a charming country town vibe that's perfect for a casual visit.

Great gluten free options! They take cross contamination seriously and have specific gf prep days to avoid issues.
Passionfruit cheese cake was fantastic! Hubby has the (normal) chicken pie and loved it. Outdoor seating available that’s dog friendly.

What a gem in Holbrook! Worth stopping for. The menu was interesting and gluten free friendly! We stopped for lunch had the trout Rosti (fantastic) and hamburger (excellent, great beef). We took a slice of plum and apple cake away with us (gf) also delicious. Service was very friendly. Definitely recommend!
Enjoy stunning sunset views from the balcony while soaking in the lovely atmosphere and fresh, beautifully presented meals.

The staff were great when asked if they had anything gluten free the assistant said that they had sold out but they could make a g/free salad sandwich which was really nice and filled with a lot of salad.
