My partner bought me a gluten free chicken and vegetable pie from wonder pies over the weekend. I took a bite of it and the pastry was so good that I thought I had mistakenly been given a regular chicken and vegetable pie. I immediately stopped eating the pie because I was sure that it must contain gluten and that in 45 minutes I would experience the awful symptoms of having consumed gluten. I was very pleasantly surprised to find after some time passed that the pie that I had taken a bite out of was actually really a gluten free pie. I then gobbled up every delicious morsel and soon afterwards took to the internet to buy more of these amazing gluten free pies. I just devoured a gluten free beef and gravy pie and I can say that these pies are easily the BEST gluten free pies you can buy in Melbourne without question. I have been on a mission to find a decent gluten free pie for a couple of years now and I have tried many, after eating the gluten free pies made by wonder pies my quest is finally over. Great pastry, delicious filling, amazing.

Today they mucked up my GF bread. The waiter tried to tell me he was ‘pretty sure’ the sourdough bread he brought me was GF. I know better but any other coeliac might have had a rough time. After this they made us come back in after our meal and pay $2 for the GF bread that they mistakenly forgot. 😂 I’m ALWAYS happy to pay extra and did of course but has happened a couple times, I just appreciate a lil accountability! Was just a funny, awkward interaction but both servers just trying to do right and both still kind.
Your staff are only human, and make mistakes. I do literally everyday, hence why I was very kind both in shop and I think fair in this review..
This was simply a heads up still without a doubt worth a visit/100!!!!

Best fish place in Melbourne. So glad I found one near my place..food tasted amazing! The grilled snapper is heaven. On top I have notified one of the staff that of they cater me as a coeliac, one of the staff stood up in the kitchen and made an alert of doing my whole order in a separate corner of all the kitchen and the staff to use new cutlery..pans..
I was so overwhelmed by the action they took and the understanding. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone. Amazing for kids also
Great service, really friendly and attentive. Excellent food, especially with quality Gluten-Free choice. Coffee was fantastic also. I have not had good experience with some Degani cafes before, but this one is spot on!

We recently purchased the 120ml Dixie cups as Wedding favors to end our night of celebrations. We have gluten free and vegan guests that will also get to enjoy these. They look so cute and taste even better! Highly recommend Aurora Foods, and will definitely be back for our next event. ☺️
