My friends and I went here because it’s always been just around the corner but never tried it. Today we did and it was so good. Extremely friendly lady greeted us with a really warm welcome and helped us with the menu and even thoughtfully catered to my gluten free needs. The food was amazing (and even the tortilla soup was crazy good) and we will definitely be making more stops here! I only wish we came sooner.
While in Ottawa for the day, I met and had a beautiful dinner in the early evening with my niece on November 5th, at Cyranos, my 3rd time there; Paula was our very thoughtful and thorough server. (I have lactose and gluten intolerances.)
As a starter, the “creamed” tomato soup, sans lactose, wow! Main for me was the grilled marinated lamb chops, rare and fabulous!
I look forward to my next visit! Thank you Cyranos staff!
I tasted little pieces of everything and I can say they were divine. This being said it will be nice to have the gluten friendly versions that are baked .
If you haven't tried the Gluten Free bread at Quiznos yet, you really should. It's really good and I prefer it over the Subway GF bread. It has a somewhat chewy texture that holds together really well for both cold and hot subs (better than Subway). It comes in both 6 and 12-inch.
This store is quick and efficient and the staff is helpful. But they often don't ask if you have a gluten allergy even though I'm ordering the gluten free bread (they will take special precautions when you ask). A few times I've been here I barely got any lettuce and tomato, but other times it's fine.
My hubby and I have been going to Ishina's for... ever! Their food is amazing, hence why we were there every week... sometimes 2-3X a week!! Gina is an awesome Chef and takes great care when I order because of my gluten intolerance (celiac). We love Ishina's and we love the family too♥
