Whenever I visit Ottawa, I make sure to stop here before I leave. They consistently have a good variety of delicious fresh desserts and also a frozen section of more savoury options. My friends that typically eat gluten and dairy have even said some of their desserts are better, which I totally agree with! Best Nanaimo bar selection 🤤 I think using a tad less sugar would be a bit better overall if you are trying to limit your sugar intake (I usually portion the desserts) but overall, you won’t find a better gluten/dairy free/vegan dessert bakery.

This has become my family’s favourite spot to get sushi takeout! Not only is the price to quality ratio decent compared to other options nearby, but the service is very quick with relatively few hiccups. Lots of different options for maki roll and other types of sushi. The hostess is also very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, so she was able to point out the gluten friendly options for my partner. The seating area is small and simple, and there is complementary green tea that you can serve yourself with.
I’ve gotten complementary/bonus maki rolls with my take-out orders before, which is a huge bonus! They also dress up the orders with lots of garnishes like pieces of mango and arugula which is nice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a local spot for sushi.
