We went to LUUC for breakfast for the first time today and were very excited.
Since I am gluten-sensitive and there are hardly any gluten-free options anywhere (except muesli, etc.), I was happy that you can get gluten-free bread for breakfast at LUUC.
We had breakfast for 2, which was very rich, vegetarian and served with homemade jam, hummus and much more.
You can also order coffee with your choice of 4 different types of milk.
The atmosphere is cozy as the café is not too big.
The service was very nice and helpful.
We will be happy to come back and can only recommend LUUC.
Offering unique, accommodating options for those with dietary preferences, this spot is a must-visit for a delicious and worry-free dining experience.

Great service, everyone was very accommodating. I rely on a gluten-free diet and contamination-free preparation because I have celiac disease. That wasn't a problem there at all. There is gluten-free pasta, gluten-free pizza, gnocchi and these things are all prepared separately from the regular pasta/pizza. Everything great. I will go there more often from now on.
Expect a warm and accommodating vibe with delightful surprises and a fantastic summer beer garden to enjoy!

We have never been treated so nicely, wonderful all-round service with really good food. Gluten-free dishes are also prepared deliciously immediately and without prior notice.
The breakfast was really tasty and the service was also absolutely accommodating.
Unfortunately, my wife's breakfast was not completely gluten-free (we had mentioned celiac disease when making the reservation) or there were contaminations in the kitchen.
Two hours after breakfast, she struggled with severe nausea and pain for the rest of the day.
Super tasty and good food. They are absolutely attuned to gluten-free dishes and know their stuff. (If that concerns you, you know how difficult it is!), kudos for that! The restaurant itself has a really great atmosphere and the staff is hard to beat in terms of friendliness and attentiveness. We had a really nice evening with equally good conversations and a great atmosphere. Thank you very much and please keep it up!
- rep is out of toilet paper ;)
Edit in 2022: Has toilet paper again.
But seriously: They have rebuilt and you have to find your way around again. I also have to give the make-up area a wide berth because the light there is completely slanted. If they didn't have my gluten free bread I wouldn't go.
An inviting spot where customization is key, offering a worry-free experience for all, ensuring everyone feels included at gatherings.

When I was invited to a party here, I expected that I wouldn't be able to eat anything because of my celiac disease. The opposite was the case. When asked, I was able to eat almost exactly the same as everyone else. After speaking to the chef, I was confident that I didn't have to worry about the risk of contamination. A few components were adjusted and I had my own delicious gluten-free dish.
We were welcomed by friendly service and were able to experience a warm owner who conjured up delicious food for us - even vegan and gluten-free were no problem when we asked! Thanks for the lovely evening! We'll be back! 👍🏻
Expect a unique mix of burger options and toppings in a lively atmosphere that's totally worth a visit!

Very nice new service employee!!!
Unfortunately, the price is still the same with the "breadless" option and no compensation, for example, with more fries or similar. A gluten-free alternative would also be an option.
Unfortunately, HiG is not moving in this direction at all.
What's great is that the birthday child gets a free cocktail 🙂.
A budget-friendly spot with an impressive selection of fresh fruits, veggies, and a variety of drinks, perfect for conscious shoppers.

Where I'm shopping at the moment. With inflation, I find that it is still the cheapest place of all the stores. There is a very large choice of fruits and vegetables (and they are excellent), as well as drinks and any other section. A large choice in the vegan or gluten-free category for those who need it.
I recommend !
Very nice service, very tasty and high quality food made from fresh ingredients. They are also very familiar with gluten-free food. I was here today for the first time but certainly not the last. Gladly again! 👍🏻
A stylish spot near the crowds, blending mid-century charm with Art Nouveau tiles and offering a refreshed menu of modern classics and vegan options.

For many decades, Gemmel was one of the traditional restaurants for fine French cuisine on the St. Johanner Markt. After a short interlude, a new generation has now taken over, wiped the dust from the dining room and menu and created "a gem", a little gem just a few steps away from the crowds and extremely average food at Saarbrücken's St. Johanner Markt. The mid-century seating is stylish and understated enough to showcase the listed interior with its Art Nouveau tiles (before the old Gemmel moved in, the room was a horse butcher's shop). The service was warm and nonchalant, and special requests (I have to live gluten-free) were implemented naturally and without any problems. The evening menu was small, with newly interpreted classics (cod with black pudding crust, roast beef with mac and cheese and salsify) on an equal footing with vegan and vegetarian dishes. The small wine list impresses with regional delights (Auxerrois from the Moselle, Riesling from the Saar, Chardonnay from the Palatinate). The kitchen works precisely, the food was extremely tasty, the presentation was up to date, and the portions were filling. High level without pretentious chi-chi. Gemmel's (metaphorical) daughters have taken the traditional restaurant into the 21st century and to new heights. Our future favorite restaurant when visiting Saarland. Or to put it in Berlinerian terms: Jab, no need to complain! ;) Thanks for the lovely stay!

Amazing, a dream place for lovers of a good beer.
It has all kinds of beers, light, pink, black, alcohol-free, gluten-free, etc. It also has wines, liquors, and normal drinks.
When you return the empty bottle shells you get money back.
They also have some tobacco, sweets, chocolate, etc.
They have their own parking and good access for the disabled.
Expect attentive service and a great value experience with tender steak and delicious dishes that hit the mark every time.

Very friendly and above all attentive service, especially when it comes to intolerances. My wife has celiac disease and was able to eat there without any problems. Steak was very tender and on point. My cordon bleu and starter were also delicious. Price/performance is absolutely right here.
