Very interesting decor (if you're into that) but the food is delicious and they offer a variety of dishes for everyone including a gluten free menu and vegan menu. I have tried dishes from the main menu and gluten free and have not been disappointed once. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or further afield!

Spokes Coffee Shop—what a place. You walk in, and it’s got that perfect coffee shop smell: a mix of roasted beans, warm toast, and just a hint of “we don’t mind if you sit here for hours pretending to work on your laptop.”
The coffee? Proper good. Not that nonsense where they hand you a thimble of lukewarm froth and call it a “single-origin experience.” No, this is the real deal—hot, strong, and enough of it to get you through the morning without contemplating your life choices.
Now, let’s talk about the scrambled egg on toast. It’s excellent. I mean, we all think we can make scrambled eggs at home, don’t we? But every time I do it, it either comes out like a rubbery omelette that’s given up halfway or some sort of tragic yellow soup. Not here. No, this is the fluffy, creamy, perfectly seasoned stuff that makes you briefly consider giving up everything and becoming one of those people who “only eat organic eggs from hens with first names.”
And the cake selection? Decent. None of that “deconstructed gluten-free beetroot sponge” nonsense—just good, honest slabs of cake. The kind your nan would approve of, and let’s be honest, she was always right about these things.
So, if you’re after a cracking coffee, top-notch eggs, and a cake that won’t disappoint, Spokes is the place. Just don’t expect to leave without at least one bloke in Lycra trying to tell you about his latest Strava segment.
