Really wanted to love it here as it’s absolutely a beautiful place but the food was totally below par. Burger was £16 and completely rock hard , my husband struggled to chew it. I had mushrooms on toast a gluten free option but it was stone cold and the bread was soggy and not toasted. Really very disappointed!

Me and my partner visited 2 years ago for the first time. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and was impressed by all the options available to me. We both loved it. Today we wanted to go for a day trip and we decided to visit Queensferry again to go to this charming little place. We first got some cakes and a coffee for my partner. The carrot cake (gf and dairy free) was absolutely delicious! The coffee my partner had was so good that he bought a pack to take home. We then went around the town with the plan to return to get some cakes to take home. Ended up having an amazing gf and dairy free toastie which reminded me of my childhood and home (Slovenia), where we always used to grill the toast so that the cheese would melt over the ham 😊 the latte with coconut milk was also amazing. We ordered a slice of carrot cake and victoria sponge to take home so we can have a treat tonight after dinner. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making sure that my dietary needs were met. Had a little taste of the vegan ice-cream as well and will definitely be coming back in summer to enjoy it 🙂 our unborn daughter seemed impressed as well because as soon as I started eating, she started to kick away 😁 Would highly recommend to stop by and enjoy what they have to offer especially if you have any dietary needs as we all know how difficult it can be to find someplace to eat. Would post photos but we enjoyed it too much and completely forgot to take a few 😅 P.S Dogs are welcome as well.

Stunning views, amazing historical information about the bridge, including big video projections and a miniature train. But avoid the overpriced food - unless you are just coming for dessert, which is the most reliable part of the menu. But if you are allergic to gluten or dairy, stay away. 4 stars as a museum with nice views, but 3 stars as a restaurant.

Tracey was excellent , very pleasant . Tracey went and found a lot out about Gluten free , Vegetarian and lactose intolerance on the menu. Tracey’s attitude was very patient and humorous chatting was a pleasure to be served by her. Would recommend Hawes Inn.

Really delicious food. Accommodated for coeliac and had gluten free burgers & buns. Staff were very helpful and friendly and showed me allergy table for the menu to be clear about what did/didn’t have gluten.

Great location in Queensferry (the FERRY) serving a collection of seafood with some non-seafood bites. Excellent staff, accommodating for gluten-free folks, and generally good all around. View of harbour and bridges is excellent as well.

Had a great breakfast here with friends. Booked a table. Lots of gluten free options and they altered my cooked breakfast so it was dairy free with no fuss. Service was great, staff really friendly and on the ball. Good for kids too, very accommodating for my fussy eaters.

The food was great and they handled my multiple dietary restrictions brilliantly. They made me a bespoke starter, and the main course was excellent, with no ill effects. I’d highly recommend for Gluten Free and/or Dairy Free.
