Best coffeeshop and tea room in town. Excellent gluten free choices in baked goods and wonderful atmosphere opening up into a spectacular gallery of original.local and Alaskan artwork. A local writers group even meets there every Friday for the past few years.
A community favorite, this burger spot shines with attentive service that goes the extra mile for special dietary needs and delivers rave-worthy shakes.

My wife is celiac so finding a SAFE place for her to have something is awesome.
We've drove past the Buffalo center MANY times. But... It's a burger spot. Not usually a safe place for someone who is celiac.
We were curious if the shakes were safe. The amazing yung lady that came to our truck to take our order said she had a friend who also couldn't have gluten. She checked with the kitchen and confirmed the malt shakes were safe for my wife. Yayyyyyyyy!
*The best part? After she took our order and went back to turn in the ticket, I heard her tell the kitchen person to make sure to take extra precaution and why. That right there is why this burger joint is not just a burger joint, it's a staple in this community. The owner and the staff cares, they go above and beyond ! Thank you Buffalo Center for your attention to detail and amazing staff. Allowing my wife to experience your delicious malt shakes that everyone raves about.
See ya'll next spring. God bless.
A popular spot with fresh, locally caught seafood and a cozy ocean view, but be prepared for potential wait times and mixed service experiences.

Food is good. Expect a wait as it’s popular and they cook food right after each order then take the next order. Option for your protein to be blackened, locally caught fish if you’re wanting to eat seafood as you look out at the ocean. Otherwise they have pork and beef. We ordered the bowl, taco plate, and birria tacos. Gluten free and vegetarian options available. The owner was pretty rude to me, but the lady taking orders was great. I have celiac so I was trying to ask what the options were for their menu items marked gluten free. The lady doing my order was working with me in options when the cook (assuming the owner) flipped out and said I couldn’t eat from his truck. Ended up coming to a compromise if I’d eat the bowl without any items from the grill to avoid cross contamination risk. Would be nice for the future for the guy to recognize people will ask questions if he has his menu marked and recognize celiacs traveling are willing to compromise when there’s risk. Otherwise would recommend!
This place offers a great view of the water. Definetly request a table in advance if that's part of your visit.
Small menu with no frills steak and fish dishes. The appetizers are a bit of a shining spot on the menu. Gluten free options. The wine list was disappointing. I know through Covid cuts have to be made, but buying a $10 bottle of wine from the liquor store here for 4 timed that was tough.
The staff seem to be all local, so that's a nice touch compared to more seasonal staff elsewhere. Great service. I hope they continue well into the future. I will visit this place again.
