Kristal (sorry if that isn’t how it’s spelled) is SO great!!! I have a severe gluten allergy and she is always so kind and cautious. I frequently pick to eat here because of her. She is always so pleasant and kind to staff when they ask her questions. The guy who was working tonight with her (12/28/24) even ran outside to give us some food we forgot to grab. Above and beyond!

This place is so uplifting and full of life when you walk in the front doors from the warming flames outside to the decor inside. The staff is so sweet and patient. Being someone who has a severe tree nut and gluten allergy they told me everything that was safe to eat! ( just a tip for those with tree nut allergies the do use pecan wood chips to smoke there meat in however there is not the protien in the nuts as there is in these wood chips so you will not have an allergic reaction!) my boyfriend and I had a platter meal (I don’t remember what it’s called I apologize) but it included the pulled pork some brisket and pulled chicken we added a side of the quarter chicken. It included 2 house sides we chose the pit beans and coleslaw. It was delicious! I highly recommend this place for a family night out or a date night! Our serve Kaila was phenomenal!! She was respectful and joking with us very friendly! 100% recommendations for everyone!

I went the other day and I forgot to leave a review. I have a SEVERE gluten allergy. It makes me immensely sick if my food is exposed at all. Everyone at this location is so well trained and so caring I am able to eat here. They are super careful and smart about making my order. And I cannot express how grateful I am. The food is always amazing. My husband always loves his food too. Thank you guys.

It's a great place to pick up a gluten-free sub! The bread is nice. Sometimes, it can be too much or too dry, but this has good bread for us gluten-free-er like me!

Can't believe I'd ever rate a Walmart a 5 star but this one in Lapeer is great! No wait times, fully stocked, gd prices and choices. As well as very clean. Def not the norm. Usually the wait times at walmarts suck but this one. Better area better Walmart go figure! Started shopping at Walmart again only because this place is nice and I don't have wait 2in for a gallon of milk. Also has gluten free area which is appreciated
I have always gotten the skillet breakfast, my favorite but went tonight and tried something different. I have gluten problems. I can not say enough about the pot roast dinner absolutely wonderful and a great price! Now it's will be a battle between the two! Thanks for still being great! Service and food!
Excellent! This new fast casual Asian restaurant in Lapeer really hits the spot. It's a modern take on classic Chinese-American dishes with a healthy twist. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options and every meal I have ate has been very well prepared. It's our new favorite local Chinese takeout place!

We recently tried Hugo's for the first time. One of us got regular pizza and the other one ordered gluten free. Both were phenomenal! The gluten free pizza was one of the most delicious I've tried of all GF and it was not overly expensive unlike other pizza stores. The staff was very friendly as well. I wish we lived closer because we would purchase from them more often. Can't wait until we're back in the area to get this again!
