I used to spend $5.55 a day at Starbucks and now I buy my morning coffee here, where I am greeted with a smile and top notch service, the staff go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. They bake the most fabulous cakes and have Gluten Free Options too. Try Lilla Vanilla you will not be disappointed!

Great food, excellent gluten free options!! Remarkably good service with attention to detail -- waitress was mindful of spots on wine glasses & removed it without us saying a thing!! Great lunch with friends.

Very large portions, reasonable prices. Quality consistent with the price and about what I was expecting.
No gluten free bread options available but plenty of menu items to choose from that do not have gluten.

Rats used to be one of our all time favorite spots. The atmosphere is unparalleled - cozy inside, gorgeous outside seating, and a preview of the grounds for sculptures. If you want ambience, this is a wonderful place to eat.
Recently, Rats updated the menu and removed the national dish of France, steak frites, to my immense sadness. While I usually applaud trying something new, most of the new additions were not appetizing at all. Even my daughter's kid's meal, chicken fingers, has changed. Before it was home-made freshly fried chicken and now it is some sort of highly processed Tyson chicken nugget.
I should mention that I have a gluten allergy and Rat's is good in labeling their allergies - however we received the impression that currently they are rather inflexible with modifications and substitutions. Heaven help you if you have a dairy allergy, your choices will be extremely limited.
In the past, the service was great. However, in our most recent visit our server was totally checked out and on auto-pilot. I didn't feel like we were a priority at all with the long lead times, lack of communication, and forgotten items.
Overall, Rats is still good but not great. We would be willing to give them a second chance provided that they have some more appetizing gluten free items on the menu. And hopefully, next time the food will be worth the wait.

Excellent selection. The prices are competitive if you use their shopping card (many, if not most, sale prices are only available with their card ; a common thing these days).
There's an extensive section for those with dietary restrictions (gluten-free, etc.). For example, I found several brands of tortilla chips made with black beans or white beans. There's a selection of tahini for those inclined to make their own hummus.
The 603 bus stops right in front of the store. That's a big plus for folk with mobility issues. Those who intend to use the 603 need to check the schedule and plan for either a 30-minute or 2-hour shopping trip. There's also a Petco and A. C. Moore in Hamilton Square, if that helps. The 603 does not run on Sundays.
Very good produce, baked goods, and meat selection. Haven't really checked out prepared or frozen foods, yet. I'm going to have to spend a couple or three hours browsing just to see all that's there.
