Went here for dinner while traveling. Rapid service, free parking. I had the gluten free Shawarma Beef. It comes with rice and salad. Unfortunately, they do not have gluten free pita bread. It all tasted great and I was stuffed. The majority of the items on the menu are gluten free, including french fries.
Quirky spot with great service, but be ready for a chill wait time—seems like they're a bit short on staff.

Giving 4 stars for the friendly service. We were travelling through and ended up here after trying and failing to find gluten free food somewhere in town. My partner decided he would have to take a chance and ask what they might be able to make for him. The waitress was incredibly kind and understanding of his dietary restrictions. The kitchen even said they would cook his burger pattie on a separate area of the grill. The only bad thing was how slow it was. There weren't that many people eating in the restaurant, but there was only one waitress. Obviously we don't know what the situation looked like back in the kitchen but they probably are understaffed too. The hotel definitely needs to hire/schedule more people.
This is the only place in town that seems to accommodate a gluten allergy! The owner got out the nutrition info and showed me which items were gluten free. Then he patiently explained which sauces had the least sugar. He was so nice... aaaaand the pulled pork was delish.
Food was really good, love that they serve breakfast all day. They were surprisingly knowledgeable about and accommodating of gluten allergies. Stacy was amazing. Would definitely recommend stopping here!
Love Albertsons! They are probably the cleanest store in town and they stock the vegan cheese that I can usually only find at the Co op. They have loads of Dairy free, Gluten free, Vegan, and any other lifestyle that you follow. Everyone is always nice and will help you find anything you need. Cashiers are always so nice and make you feel like they value you as a customer
Awesome burger (I had a gluten free lettuce wrapped burger) and my husband loved the southwest Philly cheese steak. Our server Jesse was very friendly and accommodating to my food allergies. It also has great rustic atmosphere.
Expect a creative twist on classic dishes with excellent service that showcases warm New Mexico hospitality.

My wife has to eat gluten free (Celiac disease). Although they do not have GF options on the menu, Alex set her up with a veggie taco and steak/shrimp fajita meal that was wonderful! Alex knew exactly what he had to do to change up the dishes to make them GF.
Super helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend Don Diego’s. The staff went out of their way to show us great NM hospitality.
We stopped here on a road trip from Fort Worth Texas to Las Vegas, I can't even begin to tell you how welcoming they were! Felt like we walked in to the home of an old friends house! Seriously! I have celiac ( I know, weird ... going to a deli with celiac... who does that, it is the thing you do when your husband wants a pastrami sandwich) when they asked me what kind of bread I wanted and I paused for a minute because I feel bad for wasting but don't want people to do anything special, I said whichever, I can't eat it anyway. They said we can put it on a plate for you! And oh did they, it was so beautiful, not to mention it tasted amazing (I should have taken a picture! This is the type of place everyone should visit, we were going to get our order to go, but I am so happy that we took the time to eat in Gallup and meet the wonderful people of the westend deli! Thank you!
