I've been coming here since they opened in 2015-2016. It's always been my favorite place to get some quality coffee and food, get some work done or read, and be in a friendly and comfortable environment. It's changed hands a few times, but the current owner is doing a good job compared to previous owner. If you haven't been in a while, or it's your first time, it's worth checking out. They have a coule of gluten free options _ a quiche and a zucchini chocolate chip muffin- that are really good.I don't know if part of proceeds still go to missions in Haiti, it doesn't seem like it. I sometimes meet up with people from my church. You'll hear people doing Bible studies here, which is awesome! This establishment is an absolute treasure in our community.
Beignets, beignets, beignets. I cannot stress how amazing they are hot out of the fryer & included with the meal. Fried catfish right to your table, the batter is fantastic and the secret ingredient is sugar. Taste it I promise you will not regret doing so. Because it is a buffet (you can call in to-go orders) the choices are segregated and well labeled for those with dietary restrictions, i.e. gluten-free just be sure to verify if flour was used to thicken the roux. Also, the boudin balls are heaven.
