I have to eat gluten free, my grandson has to be dairy free. These people are so very patient and try very hard to accommodate these issues. It's fast food but one of the best!
This spot is a hidden gem for homemade ice cream lovers, with amazing dairy-free and unique flavor options that'll keep you coming back!

They have gluten free waffle cones and will get your fresh gluten free ice cream if you ask. Our server was very nice! Their peppermint ice cream is a dream!

The food was delicious and they have an extensive menu.
Some in our party are allergic to gluten and they did a great job of avoiding cross contamination.
Our server was friendly and efficient.
I recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

We stopped in while passing through the Dalles. We were astonished at this little place! It was absolutely slammed when we came in and we had to crowd into a little corner table because the whole place was full and I can definitely see why!
They had tons of fun pancake flavors and you can also get every option gluten-free, which I've never seen at a pancake house. I had the apple and walnut pancakes, which were absolutely delicious (not to mention they were about the size, these bad boys were MASSIVE!)
They also had some kind of house made syrup on the side that was buttery/sugary and super delicious.
Wait staff was friendly and service was pretty fast for how full the place was.
We will definitely return next time we are in the area!
A cozy spot with unique substitutions but could improve on some menu options and cleanliness for a better experience.

Very nice & helpful waitress (Lucy) in particular. They didn't have what I ordered (herbal tea, mac & cheese for a brisket platter), but were willing to make a rice substitution. Though I didn't taste anything different, I did note a few tiny fibers in the grilled meat & not sure what they were--maybe from grill cleaning brush or possibly something else innocuous; just mentioning it so the restaurant can hopefully check this. Would be great if they had gluten-free bread & pancake/waffle/crepe batter options.
A cozy spot known for its diverse menu and inviting atmosphere, perfect for travelers looking to unwind and enjoy a satisfying meal experience.

They have a dedicated gluten-free menu and a commitment to doing their best not to cross-contaminate. Solid stuff. Had the burger and a bottomless Sprite. I'd go back.

This is a hopping place. Once we got service, it was great. It took them over 20 minutes to get to us. Others seated at the same time had drinks and starters before we even found our waiter. We sat outside on the large patio with 6 on a picnic table. There was a band that started about 45 minutes after we were seated, about the time we got our first drinks. The menu is good, the food was great with a nice variety. They had several vegitarian dishes on the menu. They also had gluten-free dishes labeled on the menu. The setting along the river is very nice. I'll be back with a smaller group.
Experience a vibrant dining space with stunning dam views, a fun pool table area, and a versatile menu perfect for evening visits.

Come see Sam. Great service. Refreshing atmosphere. Soft country music. Got the prime rib on gluten-free toast with aux jus.
Also got the Italian sandwich, which is French dip with marinated veggies and banana peppers.
Entrees looked good on menu but only served after four pm.
It's the place we stop at to break up our trips between Pendleton and Portland. Coffee's good, snacks good. E en some gluten free snacks for my son who has celiacs. Service usually great, but sometimes they're swamped, which is a good thing. Always friendly
I recently tried this amazing spot in the Dalles, OR. My sister lives here and I'm moving here. The service is exceptionally welcoming. Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful. I'm celiac and was delighted to find that they have a gluten free crust. Amazing! My sister had no idea and she is not celiac. I'm looking forward to spending more time here and this is my favorite spot.
Delicious surprise breakfast; quality and great taste. My friend and I were passing through The Dalles and in search of breakfast. I am gluten free so this can be a challenge. Beachwood has a wonderful crust less quiche and a chocolate banana muffin (gluten free), chased with a turmeric latte. My friend got a savory breakfast brioche and for later, a wonderful sweet lavender baked goodie that she munched on through out the day. The food was lovely, the staff friendly (we got a small history lesson per our request), clean, kind (someone dropped their treat and the staff replaced it at no charge). My only complaint was small; our drinks could have been hotter but even not as hot as we would have liked, we enjoyed the delicate balance of flavors and great coffee.
Enjoy a top-notch experience with attentive service, amazing flavors, and a cozy vibe that'll make you want to keep coming back.

An all around great experience for my husband and I. They serve beer. They have gluten free batter for tempura & deep fried rolls. The waiter was attentive and kind. The food was superb, my husband isn't huge on sushi but he was fully impressed and we've decided this was our new spot whenever we're visiting the Dalles.
This outdoor BBQ site has everything going for it: fabulous meat, great sides, an outdoor seating with many options for gathering small or large groups. The hostess is friendly, knowledgeable, and even better, was allergic to gluten and dairy so helped me navigate her menu to eat safely. For fellow non-dairy and non-gluten eaters, the rub and sauce are both gluten and dairy free. I sent for the salad version of tri-tip which was scrumptious! This is my new favorite place to eat in The Dalles, OR!!!
Nice store, carries most everything you need and want. Really nice bakery, fresh produce, top quality meat department. Not always very deep in canned goods and sauces choices at times but they still offer more than the local competition does. No bulk foods department and a small but growing selection of gluten free and natural foods choices. Frequent sales prices, very fair prices and a very clean store make Safeway a pleasant place to shop.
