Prepare to wait 2 hours without a reservation. So call or email ahead of time. Absolutely every time we go its a great experience. The fried green tomatoes are gluten free. The steak is superb. The shrimp and catfish is out of this world! It's not a crowded place. Although they probably could add more tables, they try to keep your experience intimate. The waitresses are friendly and very helpful. It's the absolute best place around!

We moved to the area a few months ago, Towns End Coffee is now our favorite local spot for fresh coffee and breakfast. The employees are always kind and welcoming. This morning the ladies were singing, it put a smile on my face. Great way to start the day. We really appreciate the gluten free options!!

We just stop by when Cades Cove in Townsend early morning driving back wanted to go to eat . we were 9 miles no service to Townsend. and very hungry loved the food and experiance had Gluten free options Sourdough Bred on pizzaz love the welcoming of this place highly recomended.

Starving family on the hunt for dinner after a long day in the sun and this looked the ticket. Based on another review I felt safe ordering a burger on a gluten-free bun. It was so good! Our family of seven was so happy with the atmosphere and food, we weren't thinking about reviews until later. I had to sneak a pic of my youngest son's double smash burger with a fried egg on top. Bonus, the staff were amazing! We were all so happy to find this place 💕

We loved the Abbey so much we went twice on vacation! The atmosphere can't be beat - the outdoor patio has river views! The patio lights add to the fun vibe. Also kid friendly and affordable. They have gluten free options too - pizza crust, buns, etc. I discovered Long Drinks which are canned gluten free beverages. Overall a great experience!

Amico is a delicious new addition to the Townsend area! Great portions, made to order, everything is full of flavor, and the ingredients are so fresh! I've learned there are usually a few unique, rotating menu items in addition to the standard menu offerings, so make sure to order online to see their most updated list. There are gluten free/ vegetarian/ vegan options, and service from Chris, Alanna and team is quick whether you're dining in or carrying out. I most recently ordered my sandwich as a wrap to-go, and it was wonderful! You won't be disappointed eating here!
