I was at the gathering mentioned below where the gluten-free cake was brought in for a big birthday. I can second that the cupcakes were awesome (regular and gluten-free).
But for the gluten-free cake, I've never seen a cake that bad even if home-made. Not something I would serve. Get the cupcakes!
