Absolutely fell in love with this place!! We were traveling and looking for a safe place to eat with celiac/severe gluten allergy as well as dairy free. The fact that Portia’s entire menu is gluten free and vegan was AMAZING so everything was completely safe!! We drank the mushroom lattes and split the breakfast burrito bowl and a waffle - the food was out of this world. Everyone on staff was so kind and in a great mood, and the space is cozy and colorful. Will definitely back if we find ourselves in Columbus again!

Wow the food tasted as good as it looked! Everything is vegan and gluten free but it doesn't taste like it is! We ordered the cheese plate which had so much variety and different flavors! Everything was so fresh, beautifully presented, and filling! We left with full stomachs. My favorite was the chocolate chip cookies. It was gooey but didn't leave me feeling icky like most sweets!

We dined here with a party of 7 following a white coat ceremony. The service was great, even though the restaurant was packed. A member of our party has significant food allergies and the waitress was knowledgeable and accommodating. She asked questions of the chef to ensure our party’s allergies were addressed. The restaurant offers a gluten free menu. Our food was excellent. Our party enjoyed dishes including Mahi Mahi, scallops, Grouper, short ribs, filet mignon, and burgers. The sides were on point and paired perfectly with the main course. We have been here before and will definitely return! My husband and I went to The Refectory last night and had a wonderful experience. Our server Lisa was very personable and did such a wonderful job educating us about the dishes offered and drink selections. The Refectory operates differently than most Ohio/US restaurants. It's recommended to order all courses ahead of time as they are small batch. We ordered 4 courses and even though the plates are smaller than "normal" we were pleasantly stuffed at the end of our meal. To note, courses do come out at a slower, more European pace. Our entire dinner took 2.5 hours. I highly enjoyed the slow pace, it gave us more of a chance to slowly savor our dishes and really connect. The escargot is more in a loaf type form and comes with a garlicky sauce that is just amazing. Not pictured is the soup I had which was the vegetarian, which was deliciously simple but definitely warming. My husband had the shrimp that had a lovely bright vinaigrette followed by the arugula salad. The arugula paired with the pancetta (I think) was delicious as the fat cut the sharpness of the arugula. For my main course I had the sturgeon which I highly recommend. It was meltingly soft and the potatoes/vegetables provided a contrasting crunch. My husband had the duck which he highly enjoyed, the cherry sauce had a tartness he enjoyed but I did not particularly care for. Dessert we both chose the creme brulee. The grand marnier was a nice change from a standard vanilla, it was beautifully silky and paired so well with probably the BEST latte I have ever had. There were a few items I'm going to grumble about but really are minor and not worth detracting any stars: I have celiac and the gluten free bread basket at $5 extra was rather disappointing. It looked like regular sliced sandwich bread that was cut in diagonals. I'll skip the bread next time as Cameron Mitchell restaurants, Cooper's Hawk and others have better to offer. The other grumbly item is the lack of dessert options for someone with celiac. I could choose between the creme brulee or I believe a sorbet. Dessert is my absolute favorite course so this was disappointing. It's the reason we'll come back maybe once or twice a year, but probably not more.

I eat gluten free cuz it causes bad headaches and my body hurts like I have the flu & it causes belly issues for my daughter. I was in Columbus to meet a friend and googled gluten free bakery and this placed popped up. The staff member was very nice and helpful, explaining what was gluten free and preparation. I ordered 1/2 dozen donuts with various toppings. I got to my daughter's to share and on 1st bite our eyes grew wide and we both said "they aren't dense! They are light & airy!" They were sooo delicious!!! They are pricey (but what gluten free items isn't??!!!) but worth it to be eating a gf donut that tastes like a regular one. I highly recommend. I would not recommend for celiac because they do make "regular" flour donuts. We will be back!!!

Such a great time today. Rose was our server. She was so kind and welcoming to us. She made our 9 year old feel included in the experience…which he loved. The gluten free burger was yummy (so glad they have the option). And since Rose was knowledgeable, she was able to steer me clear of all of the fries as they sadly are not gluten free. Our son really enjoyed his sliders. And my husband loved his Cali chicken sandwich. We’ll definitely visit this Easton location again soon!

First time customer. Ordered mahi mahi tacos. When ordering I asked if the fish was breaded or grilled. You can pick so I ordered grilled. I asked if the taco shells were corn or flour. Without hesitation the waitress said they were corn. I have a wheat allergy. The food came and I was a little skeptical as the tortillas were the typical size of flour tortillas but again the waitress seemed so confident when I first asked so I decided to take a few bites but when she came to check in I asked again and she said I think they are corn but let me check. Then came back and said they were flour… I was surprised as this restaurant seemed pretty allergen friendly since they had GF bun options on the menu. I’m glad this didn’t happen to someone with Celiac.. Hopefully the menu can be more descriptive in the future and staff can be more well-versed with their menu items in regards to allergies.

Place was absolutely slammed with post church crowds when we went, but thanks to excellent management and really hard working employees everything from ordering to receiving food was extremely quick and easy. The manager took our order, and was super gracious about a gluten free dietary need in our party. He was very proud to let us know they were one of the only fast food chains to offer a gluten free burger, with a safely packaged gluten free bun and a burger prepared on a clean grill. He also bragged about how great his staff (mostly teenagers) are, which to me is just another sign of a well run establishment. Would absolutely recommend this Culver's to anyone.

If I could rate them 10 stars I would! Absolutely incredible culinary experience. Everything from the hospitality of every single person we interacted with, the drinks and the food were above and beyond my expectations! Being celiac they were so accommodating and I didn’t get left out on having anything, which is not always the norm. We were celebrating my birthday and everyone was so kind wishing me a happy one. We left feeling so impressed and perfectly full. Go there now for an amazing experience. Thank you!

I don't usually leave reviews but HAD to after trying them out! I've tried lots of gluten free items and theirs are absolutely the best I've had. I got several items and couldn't help but eat them all immediately! The tasted just as good as, if not better than, your typical baked goods, and you can tell lots of care and effort go into making them. The service was wonderful as well. Thank you!!

I ordered a gluten free pasta dish and the white sauce was watery and thin. When I requested some Parmesan to help remedy this situation, the server made a snide comment. The only redeeming thing was the gluten free Godiva cheesecake. I was very disappointed since this used to be a much better restaurant.
