I’ve visited several times and enjoy doing so.
Beautiful, quiet space and location. Great gluten free options. A little on the expensive side I feel, for cocktails and food (my husband and I spent close to $250 on one occasion for dinner, and we only had 3 drinks between us).
Have been other times for just cocktails and/or snacks.
Overall, it’s a great spot with great food and great service.

**NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY** Tried to order a ham & cheese toastie for my son and was interrogated about how serious our son's allergy was, and essentially told they were unable to cater to us. I said all I ask is to do your best to avoid cross contamination fully aware that it is difficult, and was almost yelled at for even bothering to ask since someone prior has threatened legal action (however at no point did I do that, I simply notified them and asked them to do their best and explained we have all the medication and awareness to know how to act). I eventually left since the treatment of me and my family was so extremely rude.
This is all despite this appearing across the menu, sending the totally wrong signals:
" * Please advise our wait staff if you have any dietary needs and we can alter most meals to be Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan and many others * "
I would not recommend this place if you have an allergy. There are plenty of other lovely places in Townsville that were more educated and capable of managing our requests. Unfortunately, this place was not one of them.
