I’ve only been Celiac for a year but have never been to Camp 31 before. Calling in, the staff were informative of what was gluten-free/gluten-friendly. Eating in, out server as well was very helpful navigating the menu! All smoked meats and BBQ sauces are gluten-free (Even their own Camp 31 sauces- labeled GF). Lots to choose from- I had the rib combo with bbq baked beans (GF) and smashed potatoes (GF). They don’t have separate fryers, so fries and their tempura batter go in the same fryer. But the server let me know that right away. Would recommend for celiac and gluten sensitive folks that crave a good BBQ spot!
A gem in Paris, ON. Bit pricey but they have some seasonal fun specials. Seated by the window is the best spot. They have GF gluten free options. Parking is a bit tricky with street angled parking, but across the street behind the buildings is more parking. This is a tall building they have elevator to use and stairs.
The gluten-free parma pizza hit the spot! In addition, the Mill Race Bohemian Pilsner was my husband's favourite beer of the flight. Delicious food & drink & friendly staff. Would definitely return.
Went with my sister who is gluten free. We had a great experience with our server Lauren. As soon as she found out about the allergy she went to the kitchen to get a list of all the GF options. There was quite a few GF options and they'll willing to work with you. The food was also great and we will definitely be back.
Dined at La Cantinella, located in the heart of St. George, on Friday night, with a group of four, having made reservations.
Service was exceptional, as multiple wait staff supported the table ensuring drinks were topped up, and plates were moved in and out seamlessly. Timing was great, as the staff easily aligned to our pace of conversation and readiness.
Started with that day's Featured Salad which was outstanding, a mixed green dish with goat cheese, beets, and vinaigrette, in generous proportion.
For the main I ordered the Fettucine con Scallops and substituted for Gluten Free pasta, for which they use a rice-based penne pasta, one of the better GF pastas I have had. The pan-seared scallops were perfect, the tiger shrimp were enormous, and the roasted garlic cream sauce was one of the richest I've had yet I couldn't get enough of it. I need to learn how to make this sauce (I think the secret is in the peppercorns). This pasta is going on my new local rotation.
An extensive bar service was available for cocktails and mixed drinks which the table enjoyed. And in lieu of dessert I had an Irish Coffee, which was the perfect cap to the meal.
Very impressed with the quality of food, drink and service. Will be coming back soon!
The Bell phone booth tops it off! It’s like going out for lunch in 1967. The people are nice. The food is good. And the seats are hard. Vegan? Gluten free? Fizzy water? Those words aren’t invented yet. Ketchup? That they got, and some great pies. You get hungry after 4pm? See you tomorrow. Other reviewers have called this a gem. But it’s really a diamond in the rough. Because sometimes you don’t need all the sparkle to know it’s a precious stone. And the Bell phone booth still has a dial tone! We will definitely be back.
Delicious lunch! Homemade potato salad and lemonade were fresh made. Everything we had was fresh and tasty and there were gluten free meals. Really friendly staff. We ate outside.Thank you!
The food here is so delicious. Everything is made fresh to order and the flavours and taste show it. The flavours are truly amazing. The owners are amazing. It's all gluten-free, so super awesome for Celiacs. Love, love, love La Trenza Tacos!!!
Had an AMAZING time here! The server and kitchen staff were very accommodating to my gluten allergy and provided me with many options. I loved trying the mushroom bruschetta on gluten free bread! I loved my gluten free/vegan burger with chips too! Thank you 2 rivers, your staff and servers are the sweetest and the view is stunning.
