Great theming is fairly common at Disney restaurants. What distinguishes this dining venue is the quality and uniqueness of food choices. An especially excellent choice for vegetarians or gluten sensitive folks. Solid meat, vegetables, soups, salad, and desserts. Price may seem high initially, but if you consider what the food would be a la carte, this is a great value.

I would NOT recommend OHANA due to the lack of seating for larger groups, service, food quality, and price.
They have a cocktail bar before entering the restaurant where you can consume alcoholic drinks while you wait, I am not sure if this has any connection with the wonderful reviews this place has, but I would think it does.
This was our first Disney Trip with a group size of 11 ( 4 children and 7 adults.) We booked this reservation in two separate parties, but were assured we could be seated together upon arrival. We checked into OHANAs and explained our party arrangement and requested to be at the same or adjoining tables. After some back and forth between us, the hostess walked to a group of peers I watched them from 5ft away pass around our ticket to each other like a game of "hot potato" on who will break the news our party will not be sitting together, all smiling while doing so, made us very uncomfortable. Finally their game was settled and they told us, we could not be seated due to the flow of the restaurant and we can only seat up to 8 at any given table, smirking while doing so. We reluctantly accepted although putting a damper on the evening as our family was separated between two tables; way to far to interact with another. While seated we counted a table that held 10 people, so that tells me, they lied for some reason?
Our waiter/waitress was not friendly at all, only saw them when they brought out the next course unannounced, never cleared any dishes, and acted like we were an uninvited guest in their home the entire evening, making it a very uncomfortable first experience.
Food quality is sub par, they would be better off dropping one of the courses and getting better quality meats. It reminded me of being at a golden corral, except we paid much much more for it. They do have gluten free options, but the chicken wings were overcooked and sauced excessively. The white rice had a taste and consistency of being boiled for two days and the vegtables were overdone and salted beyond your wildest dreams. The steak was over sauced and very tough, you eat with your hands, so start working out your wrists and fingers now so you can tear pieces off and chew it for 3 minutes. The chicken was charred, but it was the best tasting item. The shrimp was overcooked, hard to peel, and tossed in some seasoning that only stuck to some parts, which made it taste like a salt lick every other bite. Make sure you hydrate before going! Desert was okay, some kind of cake/ ice cream nothing extraordinary.
Price was around $65+ for adults and something lower for children. I had two sleeping kids worn out from Magic Kingdom, who ate nothing the whole time but still got charged.
You can see the castle from the window if you bring a decent pair of binoculars or spotting scope, unfortunately I had neither. We reserved this location to specifically watch the fireworks, which were delayed but wouldn't be able to see them clearly anyways if they weren't.
My recommendation would be to seek out a location close to your park for that day, and read over the menu, pricing, and low rating reviews, I have found the higher reviews to be inaccurate at a lot of Disney themed events/locations and my expectations were simply not met. I would like to go back to WDW, but never to OHANAs.

Definitely a place to go and eat all you want and get all the major disney characters that come to your table and take photos and do autographs while you eat. Super fun, and have a guide for food allergies. They had gluten-free desserts but went above and beyond and had gluten-free cookies in the back they brought out for me. Highly recommend

As the quick service food option at Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Mara is a convenient place to eat. You can order meals or grab packaged or premade items off shelves and check out quickly. There’s also a coffee bar. A highlight for our crew is the gluten-fee zebra stripe domes dessert which you have to ask for as they keep the gluten-free ones in the back. The normal version is available for you to easily pick up and purchase.

The signature burger was amazing and they were able to modify it to make it gluten free. Clam restaurant environment. The Hightower cocktail was also a must have. I didn’t find the staff to be as reassuring as the other Disney locations in regard to allergies.

Very fun location situated within the pyramid at Mexico in World Showcase at Epcot. Great way to get out of the heat and enjoy good food with lots of gluten free options. It’s very dark in here which is great break from a sunny day. Also a small easy ride next to restaurant.

This was the best Disney restaurant I had the pleasure of eating at. My meal was the lamb shank. My grand daughter had the kids menu pizza. She sent her compliments to the chef! Wonderful atmosphere and outstanding service. I am gluten free due to Celiac. They did not disappoint. .

We made a last-minute reservation at Biergarten, hoping to recapture fond memories from our childhood and past visits. The atmosphere remains charming — a lively, Oktoberfest-style dining hall with warm, friendly hosts and waitstaff. They explained the vegan options are labeled with the classic green leaf icon at the buffet, and they could also bring us vegan Bratwurst, vegan butter, gluten-free bread rolls, and a simple salad with oil and balsamic vinegar.
At first glance, we were pleasantly surprised by the number of plant-based buffet options: sauerkraut, pretzel rolls, beet salad, pickled onions, green beans, tomato salad, peas and carrots, roasted potatoes, and mini potato pancakes with applesauce. Unfortunately, once we started eating, our excitement faded. Most of the dishes were under-seasoned and tasted far from fresh. Even the vegan Bratwurst, which we were eager to try, were stiff and unappealing.
Dessert was another letdown — the sole plant-based option was a plate of mini Enjoy Life cookies. It’s the same dessert we were served two years ago, though back then, they came in the bag. It’s hard to believe that in two years, no new vegan dessert has been introduced, especially given the variety of desserts available to non-vegan diners.
The saving grace of the meal was the lively Oktoberfest show. A cheerful “German” band performs live music, including classic instruments and even cowbells, for about 30 minutes. The festive atmosphere still has its charm, but sadly, the food no longer lives up to the experience.
For over $100 for two people before tip, this meal simply wasn’t worth the price. While the entertainment and ambiance remain memorable, the plant-based options were subpar at best. Unless significant improvements are made, we likely won’t be returning here.

Quick service / mobile order option at Polynesian. Gluten free options including Mickey Shaped Waffles for breakfast, chicken strips (more like nuggets), hamburgers, hotdogs, David's chocolate chip cookies.
I ordered the gluten free Thai coconut meatballs (beef) over white rice. Very flavorful and a good size (3 large meatballs) and a generous portion of rice. Note it's VERY spicy.

We were told Pandora was the best land for gluten free food and when we arrived the main restaurant had not opened yet. I asked the gentleman at Pongu Pongu if they had any gluten free options and he said he did t have any food but he knew what we needed. He came back with another cast member that once I explained my son had celiac she told him she also had it and she gave us all of the information we needed to navigate all our dietary need for the day across all of Animal Kingdom. It was such a relief to have encountered these two wonderful cast members and it really made the day easier for me and my son.
