Gorgeous decor with friendly waitstaff and delicious Thai fare. We had a table on the rooftop terrace, which felt nice on a cooler summer night. It was also less noisy and felt more conducive to conversation than the dining room downstairs. Recommend the rooftop if you’re on a date, or with a smaller party. The gluten free offerings were great- basically a variety off the regular menu made without soy sauce. I had the drunken noodles, and it was fresh and flavorful. My date had the pad Thai, and I loved the level of spice for the medium dish (my idea of mild). Will definitely return to try more on the menu!

tl;dr: Jessica -- and the restaurant -- knew how to handle our gluten-free requirements and put us at ease doing so. A member of the family has late-onset gluten intolerance and we have not been going to restaurants but we heard The Bristol knew about GF cooking. We tried them and our server, Jessica, gave is the GF menu and assured us the kitchen knew how to avoid cross-contamination. She did an excellent job putting us at ease and making appropriate suggestions and explaining what was safe to eat. The food, as always, was excellent, however, what we will remember is how our server helped us understand and exercise our options.

North Italia is a fantastic spot for gluten-free diners! Their gluten-free menu is top-notch, and I love how they don’t compromise on flavor or quality. We got there just ahead of the rush on a Friday evening. We had dumplings, pan fried, and the salmon special, along with the cheesecake wonton dessert. This was my first meal eating out since following the AIP Modified Elimination diet- I was ready to reintroduce soy/ edamame. Even with the little bit of gluten and dairy I seem to be 100% okay with this reintroduction! So grateful because our meal there was a little taste of heaven!!! Cannot wait to go back.

I ordered a catered lunch for the staff at my office today. Lunch was a huge hit! The management made sure to lettuce wrap some of the burgers for the gluten free folks. Communication was excellent. Some folks who had never tried the veggie burger said it was the best they've ever had. Thank you for a great lunch! Will be ordering it again :)

I have celiac disease and I can eat here with no problems at all. They take good care of you as a celiac person and make sure your food is prepared properly. I appreciate them and the knowledge their servers have of Celiac disease I would highly recommend

This is the absolute best and most authentic Japanese ramen in KC! The service is the very best! The food is amazing. Highly recommend the black ramen, edamame, gyoza, karaage chicken and more! They also have japanese Candy, anime figures, drinks, and take out onigiri and and sushi! Please offer more gluten free tamari items so my daughter can join us more often! For GF people they do have edamame, rice, desserts, and a salmon onigiri. ❤️

Creative burgers made with 100% gourmet japanese Wagyu beef or vegetarian options. Comfortable inside with nice ambiance. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good prices. We had the CEO burger, Conflicted burger and a regular cheeseburger. All were very good and we would buy them again. We also tried several of the sauces on the side. The jalapeno ranch was particularly delicious and not too spicy. We are from out of town and these burgers are even better than the ones we can get in LA. Wish there was one near our house. (They have a lettuce wrapped option too for those avoiding carbs or gluten!)

First time trying this place. The pizzas are very large and very well priced. We got the gluten free because of dietary factors and it is one of the best crusts we have had. The pizza cooks up easily and tastes amazing!

I just moved to the neighborhood from downtown KCMO. Naturally I wanted to try food nearby where I now live. One neighbor introduced me to this restaurant. Thus I took his suggestion to dine with him last Wednesday night. Since he told me what he normally orders, I ordered salmon sandwich under the same Handheld category. My dish was super and the server was also great who brought me hot water three times with extra lemon pieces. If I paid the bill, I would tip her well! Oh, salmon was well done and it went well with gluten-free bread. I don’t care for bacon so my order didn’t have it. Fries were okay since I dipped them with honey mustard instead of ketchup! I certainly will come again at happy hour around 5:30 pm. My aim is to sit at the bar to chat with whoever happens to sit right next to me!

This was far and away the very best dining experience I have ever had! I was in town on business from Columbus, Ohio and wanted something local. SCORE! From the moment I walked in, I was treated as if the only guest in the restaurant. Friendly, warm and caring...and I hadn't yet been seated. Dining alone is often just a little awkward, so the hostess suggested I sit the the Chef's table overlooking the kitchen. This was perfect. The waitress, Meryl was also instantly engaged in making this a perfect experience. She recommended a drink, which I was already focused on. The drink was perfect. She then brought out bread, which I politely told her to go ahead and take back so that someone else could have it as I could not. That was all that waw said...not that I have a gluten intolerance. I ordered the filet, and based on having watched the chefs for a little while I took a chance and ordered it medium rare. When the steak came out, it was brought to me, instantly, by another warm person, one of the line-operators. Merl then came by to ensure I had everything I needed, and disappeared just as stealthily. I took my first bite, and looked up. Both chefs were standing and looking my way to see my reaction. Thinking a high-five was a bit much, I signalled a very enthusiastic thumbs up, and mouthed "thank you". As I was finishing the GM came by. Of course I made him listen to my perfect experience, and how I was nearly tempted to schedule another trip to Kansas City, just to bring my wife for dinner. At that point, I had already made the comment about Meryl having been "a 10"...when she subtlety placed a dessert menu over my right shoulder and said " there are two desserts you can have, and I would recommend the sorbet." I was wrong, she wasn't a 10, she was a 10.5. Having remembered that I could have the bread, she made the correct assumption that I could have gluten, and presented the only two viable options on the menu. Fantastic. Oh, and before I forget, the steak, the medium rare steak. I have never eaten one so perfectly cooked. A one to two millimeter brown ring and the entire rest of the steak a warm pink. The center of the steak was fully cooked (12oz. filet) and at no point was there even a drip of blood. This was amazing! While leaving the hostess caught me with my hand on the door, thanked me for the visit and asked me how it was. I took my hand off the door and told her that the entire experience was literally perfect and it all started with her when I walked in and finished with this right now. "Oh, bless you", she said, as I walked out the door never having had an overall food, presentation, ambiance and service experience like this before. Great job to all!

Sensational. This is our go to restaurant for the BEST food in the city. Excellent service, great atmosphere and the food is perfection. They are wonderful for those who are gluten free. 10/10 . It’s also a great place for cocktails. Well worth every dollar spent! Love it!

I was blown away by the quality and selection of meats at 801 chophouse. I went in with high expectations, but they still managed to exceed them. The service was top notch, not just from our server, but everyone in the restaurant. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. I eat gluten free and I had no problems here. I can’t wait to come back!
