This is my favorite restaurant and has been since I first started going here in 2017! The food is delicious, the menu is huge and every thing that I’ve tried (and trust me, I’ve tried a lot) has been nothing short of amazing. There is something here for everyone - plenty of vegan, gluten-free, keto, low-carb, and high-protein options. The restaurant is clean with adequate space to sit and the staff is super nice. Also, the owner, Angela, is a sweetheart. This place gets bonus points because my husband “hates healthy food” and could live off of McDonald’s but was so impressed when I showed him this restaurant, he asks to eat here all the time now. I’m definitely a big fan & will continue ranting and raving about this place.
Best gluten-free lunch option!
The staff is super attentive to a gluten allergy and follow higher than average operating procedures to ensure no cross contamination occurs (changing gloves, using mayo from the bottle vs. the container, etc.). Staff is also very helpful and efficient.
I absolutely love the variety of savory crepes offered here, there is something for everyone in the family. I’ve tried most of them now and my favorites are the spicy crab and veggie lover crepe. The sweet crepes are also 10/10 and the lychee romantic is superb!! It’s an added bonus that the crepes are gluten free as everyone in my family can enjoy them even the family members with gluten intolerance! Thank you for offering something for everyone here!
Christmas day breakfast was really good! Gluten (free) friendly too! They don't claim to be fully gluten free or completly eliminate risk of cross contamination with gluten. however they are carefully and considerate. Great service! Super friendly!
Never seen any Restaurant where the staff doesn't want to even welcome guests and neither want business. My wife called for a reservation and asked the lady on the phone if they have Gluten free options as she is celiac and asking for Gluten free was not a choice but a requirement. Guess what lady telling her not to even come as we don't have anything Gluten free. In this day and age, good restaurants will accommodate and try to make something for there guests as other members will be ordering reg food but since they straight away refused and lost US as customer and business also in times when it's difficult to even survive.
I guess they shut there doors for customers with special needs and food restrictions they will not be able to grow as a business. VERY VERY RUDE CUSTOMWR SERVICE EXPERIENCE
The food is so fresh and the hospitality is amazing! There are even gluten free options! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates authentic Caribbean cuisine!
Many times, on these “review” websites and social media pages – we complain about an establishment and how they did not deliver as expected. I would like to share a story where not only did the owner “do the right thing” and not make excuses – but invited us back, made good on his promises and provided a really nice meal.
For those of you looking for something a little different – not just another fast-food establishment – I would encourage you to try “Peri-Peri Guys” in Hicksville (in the shopping center with Big Lots and Chuck E Cheese, right next to the pet store).
We’ve started making Friday nights our family game night. My wife, who works in Jericho, will meet us at dinner, and then we will spend a little bit of time with our six-year-old son, letting him be a kid at Chuck E. Cheese.
3 weeks ago, my wife couldn’t make it, so it was boys’ night out, and we stopped in Peri Peri. My son had some fantastic chicken tenders, made with organic chicken, and a side of homemade mac & cheese… The good stuff made from scratch.
My wife is a celiac - and as I’d noticed several gluten free designations on the menu - coupled with how much my son enjoyed his meal, the fact that it was organic, hormone free meat - and across the parking lot from Chuck E Cheese’s… we decided to go again the following week.
Without getting into too many details - it was a disaster, due to her food allergy. The guys taking the order had no idea about the menu or the ingredients… they kept going back to the manager - who refused to come over to speak to us - and told us we would have to wait at least 10-15 minutes for her to become “available”. This was at 7pm - no crazy dinner rush in the place - but a hungry 6-year-old had us walk out and get dinner elsewhere.
I called the next day and was able to speak to the owner - who listened - and heard me. He apologized… he clarified that multiple items on the menu were indeed gf (beef burger in lettuce wrap or the gf buns, for example) … and that he would work hard to educate his staff further - and that the manager’s behavior was reprehensible and did not represent the family atmosphere that he and his partners strive to convey.
He continued that even if we said we hated the place and would never go back… He still was glad to hear all this input. He invited my family to return and said that if we ever did, then it would be on him. He even made suggestions about what to try.
Last week - after all the snow and crazy weather - it was time for “family game night” again. We decided to give Peri Peri another go.
My son - went for the tenders and Mac and cheese again. My wife had the burger… and I had their signature “King” chicken sandwich, which was a grilled chicken breast, a crispy hash brown square, cheese, and a spicy peri peri sauce. The food was fantastic. The portions generous... the seasonings, spot on. Whatever magic makes up the peri peri sauce - which comes in various levels of heat - is top notch.
In addition to this all, the place was kept spotlessly clean, from the tables to the bathrooms, the condiments area to the garbage cans. Very important note in the post-Covid world.
While the owner, Hafeez, insisted on buying us dinner - I sprang for dessert and got us the Nutella milkshakes which were heavenly (my son announced that it was his new favorite dessert).
We will most certainly return - as there are several things, I am looking forward to trying on the menu (and finishing with that milkshake!)
The moral of the story: First - talk (TALK… not yell, not carry on… but have a genuine conversation) to the owners of an establishment when you’re unhappy - not because you’re looking for a handout - but because they have a right to know what’s going on in their place - and deserve a chance to “make it right”.
And second - go to Peri Peri. A great meal. Something out of the ordinary... not a chain restaurant… much better than fast food… you’ll be glad you did! (PS: leave room for the Nutella milkshake!)

Dosa World is a great little charm on Broadway in Hicksville. It is vegetarian / vegan and has some gluten free options. The food is delicious, fresh and spicy. It is very clean and the waiter was extremely helpful in picking something off the menu to eat.
We went two weekends in a row. There is a small buffet on the weekend for 9.99. I had rice and black lentil cakes with lentil soup and coconut curry for dipping. For dessert sweet cheese with cardamon which grew on me after I was home. I wish I had taken one to go. My husband loved the lentil doughnuts.
The best part about this food was the way my stomach felt after eating it. I have a gluten allergy and even though the food was spicy my stomach was very happy and had little if any indigestion.
Great place!! Love the food, place is super clean and people are very professional! Wont eat pizza or pasta anywhere else! Come here every weekend with my daughter because they make the best gluten free according to her! It’s clear they take pride in their cooking!!!
Fantastic Diner. The food is always delicious, large portions, great prices & super friendly staff. 11/10 will be going back.
ALSO THEY HAVE AMAZING GLUTEN FREE BREAD
