I visited again after a year and the experience is much better. The quality is still very good and they serve excellent buckwheat gluten free galettes. However the service this time was very friendly. They translated the menu to English…nice given that they have a big menu.
Amazing food and atmosphere with standout dishes, but the service could use a serious boost to match the experience.

We came due to reviews of amazing food, friendly staff, value, gluten free and vegetarian options. The food was indeed amazing, the duck foie gras beautiful melt in your mouth, the duck breast rare and tender, the creme broulee smooth, creamy with the right amount of bitterness. Unfortunately the service seemed dreadful to us as tourists even though one of us spoke passable French. We had to ask for table water, for bread, had to flag down someone to order after waiting a long time. Our table didn't have salt and pepper. They tried to charge us for bottled water which we didn't have but were happy to amend the bill. There is only 1 vegetarian dish. It's a shame as the atmosphere and food were otherwise fantastic.

One of my favorite spots in Fontainebleau! I ordered the RainBowl and it’s delicious and healthy. I was really excited about their vegan and gluten free pastry options (and those are also delicious!) I thought everyone was kind and welcoming!

Many thanks to the chef for taking into account gluten allergies. This is extremely rare in France. I was able to eat normally without, as usual, choosing my default dishes.
