The wife ordered 2 of the same burger, but one had a gluten-free bun, then ran to make our connection. We got on the plane and realized we had no way to tell which burger was the GF burger. I am in Denver for a weekend trip and I found Ben's through DoorDash. Being someone with a potato allergy on top of having celiac disease, it is nearly impossible to find an affordable meal that is not home cooked. I ordered the Chicken Hearty Bowl with a Green Smoothie and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food for the price point. When I opened the box I thought the portion size of the chicken seemed small but after eating half of the meal, I felt very nourished (probably because I was eating real nutritious food.) The chicken was perfectly tender and the lemon thyme sauce had an amazing flavor.
This was the first time in years I have been able to eat a satisfying meal under $20 with my dietary restrictions. I have never once felt called to write a food review, but this experience brought me a lot of hope for a food industry that has always been extremely difficult for me to navigate while still being affordable with my allergies. I just wanted to get on here and show my support because it is rare to stumble across a restaurant that I feel is whole heartedly interested in their customers well being both nutritionally and financially. I am excited to see this company grow!
