Heard many great things about Langdon Hall. Generally that is very difficult to "live up" to the hype. The rooms are clean, spacious and eloquent. The room fridge was not working , one call and a new fridge delivered within minutes. The room is country/modern style. No complaints. Room #19. One king, couch, fireplace on the bottom floor. The grounds are perfect for those wanting green spacious living. Surrounded by trails, activities and a pool. The meal was incredible! I repeat it was incredible. Worth every cent. The entire dining experience with wonderful. Each person we encountered were professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. We had a gluten and diary free diet and it wasn't an issue. The restaurant is recognized nationally for its excellence and that is well-deserved. If you like to hike, bike, move or find a quiet country setting to read a book or chill out Langdon Hall is the place.

We had a lovely weekend at The Red Umbrella Inn this past weekend. The Red Umbrella is unique in the one thing that cannot be copied anywhere and that is service. Like many lodges and inns built in the past century it shows its age a little but that only adds to its charm. Our room, the grounds and the public areas were amazingly clean. The atmosphere, grounds, and the cleanliness can be found in other inns and lodges but hospitality and service is what makes The Red Umbrella stand alone. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed, offered anything to make our stay even more enjoyable and greeted and treated like honoured family members. To top it all off the chef was able to prepare a dinner to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergies. With advance notice the chef can even prepare one of their world renowned pizzas free of allergens. Service and hospitality make The Red Umbrella a great choice for your next get-away. I know we will be back.

Really comfortable room and restaurant had great gluten free options. Nice location, but be prepared to hear the trains that frequently pass by all night., which was pleasant and reminded me of my childhood. Summer time with the airconditioner and the lovely patio will definately be a good reason to return. I look forward to enjoying another stay here. Thank you for making my birthday memorable, especially having a Macallan 15yr old.

Had lunch at the restaurant on a slow, rainy Tuesday in the fall. We ordered the soup, the Agurula, fig, and prosciutto salad, and gluten-free white perch with coleslaw and tartar sauce. It was all amazing. The tartar sauce was very good, and the salad was a real work of art! Would highly recommend this place, the service was very nice as well.
