I don’t usually leave a review, but I felt it necessary to share my experience for anyone who has allergies and is thinking to come here. I was so excited to purchase their new “XL cookies” to bring to a dinner tonight. My husband is allergic to all nuts, and we are never able to get him anything fun! We came at 11 am, from the West Island. These cookies are promoted as nut free, and the store instilled confidence on their website that although there is Nutella in the kitchen, these products are “kept in an isolated area” away from the other cookies. When we arrived at the store, all the cookies were on the same tray, and touching!! When we asked if there were any in the back that were not contaminated, we were told there was not. We then decided to purchase doughnats but wanted a mix of gluten free and the regular ones to form a box of 12. We were told that we were not allowed to do this, and had to buy a box of at least six of each … All to say this experience was quite disappointing. We were also not thrilled with the service as the employee seemed more frustrated than helpful, and we felt we were being a hassle rather than a paying customer.

Came in today to pick up a handful of pastries for my grandmother. I have been here many times and always had a very pleasant experience. Today was an exception. The entire store was empty. The woman at the pastry counter was a disgrace. She was unreasonably rude and had us stand at the counter and wait for her to finish eating infront of us. There was another woman at the counter sitting in a chair who acknowledged us, but also chose to not help us. It is - or was - a tradition for us to visit Pastel and Coco on our way to see family, about 4 times a year. I will admit that the woman's mood seemed to drastically change when she realized that we do not speak French. I struggle to understand why that would permit her to treat a paying customer so poorly. It's a shame. Vegan and gluten free pastries of this quality are hard to find, but polite service isn't. Disappointing.

Lovely vegan and gluten free café. It's great to have a vegan spot in the neighbourhood. The summer is the best time to go so you can sit outside. Yummy food and friendly staff.

Cute little shop with many delectable baked goods, though sadly nothing was gluten-free. However, my mocha was one of the best I've ever had and my partner thoroughly enjoyed her almond chocolate croissant. I recommend this on the mocha alone.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere with a beautiful giant painting in the back. Many choices of margaritas and other drinks. The food is good, although a tad bland compared to other places I go to (and I go to a LOT of Mexican restaurants). I also appreciate that 90% of their menu is gluten free. I also love that they are more progressive and have gender neutral bathrooms. This initially threw me off as I thought I had gone in wrong bathroom when I saw a man there. But the stalls are fully closed off so very safe and similar to Europe I'm told.

Love this place. It's like a warm refreshing hug in an otherwise dreary part of town. The service is friendly and they even accommodate me by making me my favorite sandwich on gluten free bread. Great spot to work or just sip a latte and enjoy the posh decorated space.

One of my favourite restaurant in Montreal. Food Reminds me of my stay in Bali. The satay are awesome. The cocktails as well is very good. Very cozy place for a romantic dinner. The waiters are very nice and give you good suggestions about what to have. Gluten free friendly food. Have parking spots.

Nice place with many options for breakfast. One order was the special Benny - huge portion with good flavours. One of us needed a gluten free option which is often easy done for breakfast. At Tommy Cafe a lot of the items that would ordinarily not have gluten had in it, had gluten, like the breakfast potatoes for instance. While we appreciate the gluten free bread available, for a $4 surcharge, better bread could have been provided (they make nice options now at no more cost than the bad stuff). We appreciated that the waiters knew what had gluten in, but they seemed to judge us for requiring it.

We had my niece's baptism in the private room. Food was great from beginning to end. The portions are generous and everything is tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. I can't think of one bad thing to say abouy this place. Food is just that good...Gluten free options are great too!

Excellent service to match the quality pizzas. My OH had the Aloha (I don't think it touched the sides) and I had a Gluten-free MLT with vegan cheese - and yes I had real pepperoni with that. Great to find a pizza joint that caters to food intolerances. We will be back!

This is my go-to restaurant in Montreal. Mostly gluten free, always have lots of veggie options. The vegetables are always cooked to perfection (crunchy and fresh). My favourites are the vegan pad kaprao with an extra egg on top (lol). The salad is so delicious and fragrant. Love to get the pumpkin fritters from time to time because of the crispiness and umami - note that the sauce is very fragrant and herbalicious. Don’t get me started on the mango rice because i will not stop talking. So creamy and juicy and purr. Pad thai is excellent, curries as well. I mean there’s not one thing i don’t like about this restaurant. Yes actually there is, it’s the the pear rice. Really not giving what it’s supposed to give. Love the staff and the place and the decoration and the vibe. Recommend x1000.

I took my daughter to this restaurant. Because we were seeing a show at Place De Arts. The decor of the restaurant is absolutely incredible, I just love the Art Deco feel. The service was wonderful. But as for the food, I was a little bit disappointed. I would say it was average. I found everything that we ate was underseasoned. We ate salmon tartar, chicken breast, and the Angus beef dish. Again, I would say it was average. I would have liked a bit more of a flavor full experience. But, I do love that they have gluten-free and vegan options

My husband and I love this place! The menu is kinda small, but everything on that menu is great. My husband is celiac and this place is one of the few truly celiac safe restaurants in the city. The decor and atmosphere is pretty amazing.

La Comida is our solution. Every meal is tasty, and each week's menu is creative and different. Plus I love the gluten free and vegan options. Makes ordering for several people much more convenient. The weekly form is efficient. I never forget to place my order, and it takes all of two minutes to select my choices from the dropdowns. Customer service is fantastic. Never a bad interaction. Very happy customer.

Amazing brunch experience here!!! The “eggslut” sandwich is literally sinfully delicious, and the pancakes were genuinely the best I have tasted in MTL thus far. The waiter was super nice and helpful and they were able to accommodate my friend with celiacs to make her dish gluten free. Also a lovely dining room, and vibrant energy. 10/10, will be back for sureee!

Super bon restaurant. Je recommande à 100%. Bon plat assez copieux et viande préparer sur place. Nous etions un groupe et Wow nous avons étais super bien servie par la serveuse Suzanne. Allez y en grand nombre mais surtout en groupe :) ils prennent les réservations et s'accommode pour les groupes. Ils sont génial. Nous avons essayer à d'autre endroit mais celle ci étais parfait. Nous avons même pu partir avec des viandes à la maison pour le souper des enfants avec option sans gluten donc sa accomode tout le monde.

What a gem for anyone needing gluten free! Delicious wood fired pizza (gluten free was on its own tray but does go into a shared wood fired oven). They also offer GF pasta (cooked in its own water), salads and escargot. I am sensitive to cross contamination and had no reaction. The crust was very good! Thank you for offering so many gluten free options!
