This place is #1 on our list for trips to Maine. We actually drove 4 hours because of how fabulous Stones Throw is. The food is sooo good. We’ve had several meals here and made a second trip just weeks apart. We booked the Nevada and never left the block. The best gluten free bread my sweetheart has ever had. Lobster rolls called us back! You do not leave here hungry! The portions are too much! And the bill….i checked to see if they forgot to charge something that we ordered. It didn’t seem like enough. What a great place with sensational staff!!

I was visiting in April and staying down the street. We decided to stop on our second morning there and then it was so good we returned twice more. I tried 3 separate iced drinks, which were all great. I was also thankful for gluten free food options. I tried 3 different flavors of the macarons and was happy. Each time I was served by someone different. The speed varied between them all but friendliness was top notch each time.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hartstone Inn, so much in fact, that we will have a hard time staying at other bed and breakfasts! The staff was so friendly, the room was comfortable, and the food was AMAZING. I am gluten free, so I expected boring, bland food. Instead, I had the most delicious meals that were completely gluten-free. We loved our time in Camden, and especially our time at The Hartstone Inn.

Room was clean with a great view, staff was friendly and the food was really good with awesome gluten free options. My only complaint is while filling our jacuzzi tub we ran out of hot water and had no hot water for a shower. If you ask me

Staff was incredibly pleasant though somewhat disorganized. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Pool was wonderful and the restaurant was somewhat simple but the food was very good and they were willing to work with my wife's needs as she has a gluten allergy

We stayed for 3 days and wish it was longer. Ocean beach just a short walk down the road. Cozy nooks on front porch, bar and dining areas to sip a drink, play cards, read and relax. Everyone greeted us with a smile and asked if we needed anything at every turn. Staff makes you feel special and part of their family. Staff appreciated each other and guests. Shade restaurant meals were so good, thoughtfully prepared and presented. So many gluten free options, creativity and culinary passion came from the kitchen.
