Overpriced for the quality of food.
We ordered the stuffed Mahi and the steak for our main and shrimp appetizer.
The shrimp we ordered grilled to be gluten-free. They tasty dirty with little flavor besides the sauce that it came with.
The Mahi was ok, a little bland. The stuffing was good. The risotto was terrible. Lazy and rushed. Mushy, but somehow al dente. Very bland; it tasted like watery white rice, maybe a hint of garlic. Not creamy and infused with flavor like it's supposed to be.
My husband ordered the steak meal. For a $50 steak meal, he expected more. He described it as having no flavor other than salt, and the sauce on top tasted like a burnt grill top. The cut of steak was fatty and full of gristle. He barely ate half. He thought the potatoes and green beans were good, though.
Matcha latte was too sweet; tons of sugar crystals at the bottom of mug.
He also ordered a double chocolate mini cake that he really liked.
A friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which looked good. He said it was tasty and the aioli on it was really good.
Looking at the menu beforehand and making reservations, I expected more of an elevated experience. The vibe was that of a bar/bakery. Better suited for brunch/lunch or casual dinner.
If we went again, it'd probably be for lunch or more of a casual dinner, like burgers and such.
I appreciated all the gluten-free options and them being clearly labeled!
Lastly, our waitress was sweet and attentive!
A charming spot with cozy rooms, relaxing spa experiences, and beautiful grounds, perfect for a serene getaway near local attractions.

We came up Easter weekend for a little get-away and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Such a beautiful piece of property with lovely rooms and great service. I am both dairy- and gluten-free, and the kitchen staff were very thoughtful in observing my dietary restrictions, while still providing me with enjoyable, substantial dining options (do give them ample notice of your dietary needs!). The location was not only beautiful but strategically situated not too far a drive from a variety of attractions. We would not hesitate to return.
Our Elopement
I want to take a moment to describe our wedding weekend and how amazing it was to elope and not get caught up in a big wedding ordeal!
Every detail from our elopement was perfect...I mean seriously perfect! We choose Inner Banks Inn to plan our elopement and we had the luxury to rest easy knowing that we were getting exactly what we wanted! November 2nd was my Grandparents Anniversary and we kept that in the forefront our minds through this whole process. I want to thank Kyle for honoring their memory with me, and allowing us to share this day with them. The moment we showed up to Edenton on Friday we were able to make a few final decisions, that were literally where do we want the ceremony to be held, we had the choice of the whole town... We picked our favorite spot with the best sunset, thanks to Susan Beckwith and her amazing connections to her community! We discussed the only thing we wanted at the ceremony which was the jumping of the broom, and she handled that with ease; and the rest of the weekend was ours. Inner Banks Inn, set up a golf session for us before the big event in honor of my PopPop, was able to work with my Husband to surprise me with some of my best friends showing up from New Orleans, they had hair and makeup set up for me and I didn't have to stress about picking anyone out! They managed the timing of everything, photography, horse carriage ride, 6 course dinner for our guests, with shoefly pie for dessert a Pennsylvania Dutch delicacy and one my Grandparents favorites! They even had a fire pit for us to enjoy after dinner, something Kyle had I love so much. The food was incredible! Kyle even had them surprise me with Tates Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies and milk brought to our room Sunday night. Don't even get me started on our gorgeous honeymoon suite! The entire staff was like family, so warm and welcoming, they hugged us, kissed us and gave us gifts I have never felt so welcomed anywhere else in my life ❤️ They treated our guest with the same love and care and it just melts my heart thinking about it!
Aside from this, they worked with Kyle so closely to make sure everything was perfect even down to my flowers driving 70 miles to get Brown Eyed Susans because they are my favorite and they remind me of my Grandmother.
My Grandparents were so much in our minds this weekend, and I could feel them with us smiling over the whole weekend, we all had something special that was from them was made them feel even closer! ❤️ My cousin Brandon, wore PopPops wedding band, Kyle wore his cufflinks and his tie clip, and even had his money clip in his pocket.. I wore my NaNa's perform.. We memorialized them, and had a canvas made of their wedding photos on display for the whole weekend in their restaurant for all the other guests too see! I am so grateful for everyone at Inner Banks Inn, thank you for such a perfect elopement, with no stress, no anxiety and the claimest I have truly ever been!

We've stayed here twice (last year and again this year). The rooms a very clean. The owners and the staff are so nice. The location is perfect. It's right on the river and walkable to everything. The Stage Coach restaurant is part of the Inn. The food is delicious. Most of all, I am gluten free out of necessity and they accommodated my eating requirements. They also have mini golf on the grounds and substantial parking. You won't be disappointed.
Step into a charming venue that’s been thriving since 1923, with a cozy ambiance and an extensive menu sure to impress.

This is an interesting experience to say the least. They have been open since 1923 and it sure feels like they have been open since then. If you were big into the Ambiance of a place then you should definitely come here. I think that there is a lot to offer with this place. The food was good and it was reasonably priced for how much food you get. If we're going to be honest I was not a big fan of having the family style of side dishes, as I could have been content with my own. We are currently visiting cherokee, and this has been the best gluten-free dining experience that I have had so far. If I could not eat something the restaurant was more than accommodating to adapt to that. They ensured that if I needed a substitution they could find one. The menu is large and extensive. They have a nice wine list too.
This was an amazing restaurant! I’m gluten free and asked about gluten free options and the server was so helpful and friendly and made me feel so comfortable about what I was ordering. 10/10; loved the atmosphere, service and food! Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!
What a beautiful respite from the current situation! Lori and her staff were courteous, kind, and very attentive to precautions for everyone's well being. The house is lovely with so many options! The decor is timeless and welcoming. We stayed in the Perch and it was a perfect, private get away! The food is absolutely delicious; they even had a gluten free baguette...yay, bread!! Highly recommend it and will certainly return any chance I get!
Enjoy a chill vibe with attentive service and a menu offering some thoughtful options for all diners.

Very pleasant ambience and the food was excellent. Although they don't have a gluten free menu, our server was very celiac and gluten aware and helped me with menu selections. They have gluten free bread and buns available.
