Nice ice cream shop right by the river with a good variety of flavors and great service by Maya. Great portions and hit the spot after a morning hiking at Camden State Park. Tried the Mt Battie Cherry and Wild Blueberry flavors = 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾! Although I didn't try them appreciated the milk based alternatives and gluten free options.

Best gluten free waffle cone, ice cream and whoopie pies around!!! My husband and I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Highly recommended!!! I have celiac and had no problem here!!! Try the Maine Maple twist soft serve in a gluten free waffle cone!!! DELICIOUS 😋 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!

Best ice cream/custard in Maine!! Finally a place with gluten free AND plenty of vegan options. Came here with friends and had a great time! we ended up staying for hours playing outdoor games, talking at the picnic tables under the string lights, and eating amazing vegan ice cream! Line went fast and the owner was outside greeting customers!! I tried the vegan soft serve with various vegan toppings and it was sooo yummy. 10/10 experience will definitely be returning :)

What a tasty ice cream and super nice staff. We asked for a Gluten free cone and not only they had it but also scooped the ice cream from a separated bash to avoid contamination.

This place is something special. For those from the west coast, it’s like the Salt & Straw of Maine. The flavors are great, the gluten free options are soooo good, and the atmosphere is friendly and bright for families, with plenty of space and puzzles and games. We love it here!

ABSOLUTELY ADDICTIVE. So many flavors, and the staff really knows how to mix and match. I got spicy mango with sweet cream and it was one of the best things I have ever tasted! Also the staff is very aware of allergens and lots of gluten free, and dairy free options. Options that are both gluten and dairy free are marked with red scoop handles to make it easy for customers who need to know.

Village Scoop Ice Cream was a delightful atmosphere with delicious ice cream! Everything Gluten Free is well marked along with having Gluten Free waffle cones! Between the Richardson’s Ice Cream, the clear labeling for allergens along with descriptions of flavors, the generous portions, and the availability off season, this place is worth the stop!

Very cool, intimate restaurant. We ordered an array of small plates to share and they had a separate gluten free menu that I very much appreciated. Our cocktails were interesting but a bit off the mark. The sashimi was the best dish that we had and the mochi bacon was chewy and interesting.

Norway Soft Serve not only serves amazing icecream but they are very aware of allergies/sensitivity. They caring gluten-free cones plus they have dairy free options. When speaking to them about allergies. They will explain how they will serve your icecream to keep it free from contaminations.. Their service is beyond amazing.

Loved the tiramisu and the "gorgeous" (chocolate, caramel, and vanilla) flavors. Depending on the timing there can be a line, which is understandable given its prime location. Next time I'm back in Portland I'd love to try their coffee, it smelled delicious but it was just too late at night for me. They gave me a run down on flavors which contained gluten, although for the extremely sensitive I'd suggest caution because of the risk of cross contamination (they offer half flavors). I'm moderately sensitive and had no reaction myself.

Want homemade ice cream with flavors like Strawberry cheesecake, chocolate chip cookie dough, and amazing local favorites. They even have gluten free cones! Take it off the cone and enjoy some unbeatable banana boat style ice cream sundaes, floats, milk shakes and more! All homemade, all awesome. They even have traditional soft serve flavors, too. Can't beat the flavors, variety, and service!! 5 stars all the way!! A must stop if passing through Dover-Foxcroft!

We had a DELICIOUS blueberry and vanilla swirl soft serve. I am gluten free so we got it in a cup and it was a very generous serving- perfect to split! The blueberry soft serves stands out as a clear must-try in Bar Harbor. Note- it’s cash only!!

The service is friendly and fast. The soft serve ice cream is not too soft, so even on a very hot day, it won't drip like crazy all over. And the very best thing about them is that they have gluten free options! (Including a gluten free cone and dips) Great place! Highly recommended for a warm day!...or any day that you feel like eating soft serve icecream.

Best ice cream in town! The staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating of my gluten allergy. They offered to get a freshly sanitized scooper, as well as get my ice cream from a new tub of ice cream to prevent any cross contamination. Very impressed!

I finally made it to Sawyer’s on a visit to Bangor after a number of recommendations from local friends/family and it lives up to the hype. Sawyer’s was delicious and authentic to the Hawaiian shave ice I had on a trip to Maui. This would be a great place to go with a group. Shave ice is very allergy friendly. It’s gluten free, peanut free, vegan, and Sawyer’s also offers dye-free natural syrups. You can even get a free shave ice (no syrup) for your dog! There were about six people in line in front of me when I arrived, but service was fast and friendly. I LOVE their branding and left with a super soft t-shirt, some stickers, and a very functional tote. I couldn’t resist their mascot! I can’t wait to go back. I hope they open up more locations soon—we’d love to see one in Portland!

Stumbled across The Local Scoop today and noticed their sign of vegan flavors. Vegan mint fudge swirl was phenomenal, so creamy, minty but not fake green mint, melty chocolate chunks, smooth chocolate fudge. Crunchy and fresh waffle cone (also vegan). Employees were so nice and friendly, also efficient as heck! I am super happy we stopped here, definitely try it out, especially if you are vegan or even gluten free!

The 2 young ladies that assisted my group were amazing and very knowledgeable about gluten free. They let me know what was okay to eat and they cleaned the machines so no cross contamination. Kenzie and I forgot the other ones name were amazing today!! Thank you for a great experience
