My husband and I went here because we were in the area and saw that it had good reviews. I am gluten free (coeliac). The menu was clearly labelled and almost the whole menu was gluten free, including unique options like fried chicken and onion bahji.
They were very friendly and welcoming. They also seemed very mindful of dietary requirements, including cross-contamination.
We had the cassava fries, 31 masala chicken curry, goat curry and paneer saagwala. Everything was delicious and flavourful. I would especially recommend the goat curry.
Thank you for a lovely meal!!

Very good food. Lots of spice options, mild for the kids and extra hot for a challenge. Lots of options for vegan, gluten free and dairy free. Very nice and fun music.
I came here with my aunts and mum for dinner and really enjoyed it! my house dal was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing, service was good. we had a first table booking for 3 and i tagged along at the end but they tried to charge me for a naan and starter along with my soup. after explaining im gluten intolerant and that all I ate was the soup finally after getting the manager it was resolved
Chill vibes and a spacious dining area with a solid lineup of vegan and gluten-free options make this spot a must-visit!

Thank you for my heavenly gluten-free lamb pasanda and amazing onion bhajis. They were wonderful. I was so happy, and the staff were so helpful in telling me what was gluten-free. The other meals for the rest of the table were also beautiful. Will diffently go again and well recommend

Amazing food and great range of gluten free curries. Best Saagwala curry i’ve ever had. The chicken was very succulent. Staff were so smiley and friendly and regulary checked up on us. Butter chicken was scrumptious and creamy, cheesy garlic naan wasn’t very cheesy but was still pleasant.
Large open space, well decorated. The music was nice but kept changing genres however that is my partner’s and i’s only personal critique.

Best place for Indian cuisine in Hamilton - never had a bad experience. Staff are lovely and food is amazing - lots of vegetarian options and almost everything is gluten free.
*** massive bonus is that the staff here are more than happy for customers to bring in their own containers to reduce waste too - very thankful that it’s easy to be a little more green with our takeaway options!

We had heard about Dosa Kitchen from our
friends who came across Dosa Kitchen's
Facebook page. Me and my friend being dosa
lovers we went to try them the following
Saturday morning at the Riverside
Market. I got the chicken dosa and my friend
got the vegan masala dosa. I simply loved my chicken dosa and thought it was the best chicken dosa in New Zealand, the dosa was hot and crispy. My friend also loved the masala
dosa, she told that the masala potatoes had just a
touch of turmeric and just melllltttedd in the
mouth. All this tasty food was gluten free,
couldn't believe it and the masala dosa was vegan and dairy free.

We've eaten here several times and will keep coming back. Most of the dishes here have a freshly ground spice flavour, i.e. they have not been overcooked or lazily cooked. The dishes taste authentic. We always have the Daal Makhani as it's particularly good. Last night we tried the Lamb Ra Ra which was excellent. They cater to Gluten free and also dairy free people here. The interior is not very intimate or romantic, but the food and friendly service make up for this, and they've also made some changes recently, which do help give the place a warmer cosier feel.

Food was nice, however the menu is misleading- none of the chicken options are dairy free due to marinating in yoghurt- despite saying dairy free. Explanation of this was also lacking- the only reason our group came is because the menu said dairy free and gluten free options. Other than that food was nice, mild lamb saagwala was nice could have done with more salt. Coeliac friendly, seemed to have lots of options for gluten free.
No cocktails for some reason? Again not explained well.
Was in at a quiet time service was standard, other than the menu being wrong was okay.
One of the best restaurants on the shore and my favourite. They have great service and the best food with several vegan and gluten free options. And you can have the curry temperature at exactly the setting you like. Definitely recommended.
Experience authentic Indian delights, cada dish displaying the chef's passion, enriched by the unique mocktails and an unforgettable ambiance.

Unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience, I gifted a friend a high tea experience and from the beginning she said things just didn’t go how they should. Their reservation was never recorded so when they arrived they were told there was no such booking, it took 3 attempts for someone to take their Tea order and the Gluten free food was far less then expected.
She said the food she received was very nice so that’s a plus it was more around the whole experience.
Thank you

One of the guests has dairy intolerance, the staff were knowledgeable about the food that can be made dairy free and they do have "allergies menu" available on request which clearly indicates which items are dairy free, vegan, gluten free, etc.
The food was lovely, the staff were friendly.
They do have nice outside booths which worked really well on warm summer evening.
(I had "kiwi hot" chicken jalfrazi and then gulab jamun for dessert.)
Step into a beautiful space filled with incredible aromas, where unique flavor combinations and outstanding cocktails promise a delightful experience.

Our time at Cassia was truly the best dining experience we’ve ever had. From the minute you step into the beautiful premises on Federal Street, you are greeted with friendly staff and incredible smells. The service is phenomenal from start to finish. Now the food, oh the food, it is an absolute knock out. I highly suggest the journey through India option letting the chef choose dishes for a four course meal. We loved that every dish had warmth and spice without burning. A wonderful surprise was the mushroom, green chilli, and truffle dish, and you’ve got to try their classic roasted carrot, vindaloo dish. My mum who has coeliac disease was fed without any problem whatsoever and really only missed out on the naan. Finally, the cocktails are outstanding. I’d highly recommend the Amore speziato. 10/10 experience 🩷

I’ve been told about this place for a long time and finally came here. The food was so good. I have intolerances to soy, gluten - and they accommodated my order. And, even though these items are on the menu, I did not feel unwell, like at many other places. So I will be coming back here. Friendly and excellent food.
This is the best treat I’ve ever had. It tastes like Christmas new years and Valentine’s Day all on one bite.
As a coeliac I love this place.
Of all the starters and mains only 3 are NOT gluten free. So many restaurants are the opposite.
Coeliac aside, the food is delicious. I come to Christchurch infrequently for work but the consistency of the food here is impeccable.
And the service is always warm and welcoming.
Recommend this place to all.
Very reasonably priced as well
Eat in or takeaway.....up to you. Either way, enjoy!!!!
Consistently good food, ready promptly and at good prices. Good variety of dishes including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Dine-in does have the problem of putting up with the constant foot traffic of people picking up takeaways though.
Beautiful meal. I am on a gluten free and dairy free diet and for the first time in years I had a creamy butter chicken and it tasted sooo good. Yes dairty free. Really really good!

Such a great find. My family is gluten free and dairy free and can eat so much here. Last night we had south Indian food and Thai, which were amazing. Great dosa, indo-chinese and thai options, or mix them up. Honestly one of the best retaurants in Whangarei and well priced.
Great spot for hearty portions and creative takes on traditional dishes, though could use a flavor boost according to some diners.

So, a coeliac here. Always nervous about food and new restaurants. Saw good reviews so decided to risk it. Family had prawn korma - 5/5. Lemon chicken - 4/5 and Chefs special - 6/5. Super helpful service. Even going so far as to check ingredients of free after dinner mints. For drinks, the virgin mojito was to die for. Had a coke and they did not swamp it with ice. I have no hesitation in recommending for gluten free people. Thanks guys.

Lovely service. Chicken Vindaloo was tasty, had the meatballs (gluten free) with salsa verde as well which were pretty good but not as good as the vindaloo. Restaurant was a little too warm when we dined. Worth a try, and wouldn't mind coming back next time we're in town, not many places do Indian and Meatball fusion.
Expect a welcoming vibe with a clear menu and a must-try onion bhaji, though prices can be a tad high compared to other spots.

Amazing selection of delicious food for myself as a gluten free meat eater and vegan hubby. Vegan menus as standard on the tables, with a huge range of options in every category. Great list of 'something different' in the street food section, but the usual suspect chicken tikka masala was amazing. Staff were so great, really friendly and exceptional service. Open kitchen so can see how clean and professionally run it is. Thanks so much for the great meal! A+++
