My husband and I went here because we were in the area and saw that it had good reviews. I am gluten free (coeliac). The menu was clearly labelled and almost the whole menu was gluten free, including unique options like fried chicken and onion bahji. They were very friendly and welcoming. They also seemed very mindful of dietary requirements, including cross-contamination. We had the cassava fries, 31 masala chicken curry, goat curry and paneer saagwala. Everything was delicious and flavourful. I would especially recommend the goat curry. Thank you for a lovely meal!!

One of the best restaurants on the shore and my favourite. They have great service and the best food with several vegan and gluten free options. And you can have the curry temperature at exactly the setting you like. Definitely recommended.

Our time at Cassia was truly the best dining experience we’ve ever had. From the minute you step into the beautiful premises on Federal Street, you are greeted with friendly staff and incredible smells. The service is phenomenal from start to finish. Now the food, oh the food, it is an absolute knock out. I highly suggest the journey through India option letting the chef choose dishes for a four course meal. We loved that every dish had warmth and spice without burning. A wonderful surprise was the mushroom, green chilli, and truffle dish, and you’ve got to try their classic roasted carrot, vindaloo dish. My mum who has coeliac disease was fed without any problem whatsoever and really only missed out on the naan. Finally, the cocktails are outstanding. I’d highly recommend the Amore speziato. 10/10 experience 🩷

Consistently good food, ready promptly and at good prices. Good variety of dishes including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Dine-in does have the problem of putting up with the constant foot traffic of people picking up takeaways though.

So, a coeliac here. Always nervous about food and new restaurants. Saw good reviews so decided to risk it. Family had prawn korma - 5/5. Lemon chicken - 4/5 and Chefs special - 6/5. Super helpful service. Even going so far as to check ingredients of free after dinner mints. For drinks, the virgin mojito was to die for. Had a coke and they did not swamp it with ice. I have no hesitation in recommending for gluten free people. Thanks guys.

Our favourite local place always friendly staff always quality food we eat in and get takeaways here often. Tasty dishes without MSG and gluten free never an issue when we ask.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Auckland. They have a lot of Gluten Free options and take care if you alert them to allergies. Their Dosas are AMAZING, as is all their food - I also love the eggplant curry. On our last visit, we tried the coconut pudding - HEAVEN! They do BYO but also have some good drink options available on site. Love this place!

Food was nice but unfortunately one dish was asked to be vegan and they made it vegetarian instead. However they quickly rectified the situation when we realised and told them. They do have some vegan and gluten free options but you have to ask them to make it that way and it pays to double check. Menu does not show any vegan options.

Best curry place out west! Great tasty food, every dish I have ordered is good. They are very accomodating with gluten free and dairy free requests and go out of their way to modify dishes so I can have things like Chicken 65 without gluten, really good service, food is always ready fast, staff are nice, prices are really good too. Got an AMAZING takeaway Chicken Biriyani to go with a BBQ at home. Full of flavour, super delish and everyone loved it. Gluten Free also. Highly recommend.

We went for dinner on a Friday night, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great chat with the owner, she was chatty without being obtrusive. We ordered an indian hot lamb Rogan josh, and a medium hot lamb madras. The Rogan Josh was deliciously spicy and full of deep flavour, rhe Madras was so tasty and creamy. I had a gluten free bread which was never going to be the same as a regular naan bread, but it was a real plus to be able to dip bread into my curry! A really lovely dining experience! Fantastic for gluten free diners .

let me begin by saying - here's another place (amongst few others) that "try" to serve authentic Nepalese (with a distant hint of Indian) cuisine. menu - limited (both veg., non-veg., no mention of vegan, gluten-free, etc.) food taste and quality - requires A LOT of work! (especially when recommending dishes from a limited menu - available options, spice level, portion size, willingness to adjust / offer alternative ingredients, etc. - to name a few!) ambience - ok music - ok serviettes - require major improvements (e.g. drinking glasses [similar looking but all of different sizes; no spoons on the table [only fork and knife]) restrooms - unkempt and dirty! extremely small and odd sized washbasin, difficult to use! overall experience - not good! unlikely to visit again!

Very delicious food. We went on Saturday night for last minute dinner. The staff was amazing and catered to Gluten Free options very well and the food was just amazing. We ordered medu vada, malai koft, kaju paneer, naan, bajra roti, garlic chutney and sizzler and everything was just yummy. We would highly recommend STEAM. Great food and great friendly staff.
