I recently became gluten & dairy free and tried this place while in DC. DC Dosa is friendly toward both dietary restrictions. The woman running the booth solo was super nice. I had the white lentil dosa with the masala potatoes and the coconut chutney and onion tamarind on the side. All super good. A little pricey at $16.50 but you do get a large dosa. I recommend.
A vibrant spot with a gorgeous atmosphere, offering a range of delicious, spicy vegetarian dishes and a great vibe for any casual outing!

I recently visited Vegz in the US, Washington, DC and had a fantastic experience! I ordered the Mysore Masala Dosa (V, GF) and Samosa Chat (V), and both dishes were absolutely delicious.
The Mysore Masala Dosa was perfectly crispy, with a wonderful blend of spices that made every bite a delight. It was gluten-free and vegan, which was a huge plus for me. The Samosa Chat was equally impressive, with its tangy, spicy flavors and fresh ingredients.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Vegz to anyone looking for authentic and tasty Indian cuisine. Will definitely be returning on my next visit!
Experience a vibrant blend of flavors and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for food lovers looking for an unforgettable time.

Very good experience, with lots of vibrant flavors. Our group is hard to please, and they did a fine job of providing tasty dishes for the gluten-free and the siliac and the pescatarian in our nerry little band 😀
An amazing spot with incredible dishes and a chill vibe that keeps people coming back for more.

Excellent food, even our six year old loved it! Appreciated that the menu labeled what was gluten free as well, that always makes it easier for me to order without having to ask a million questions.

My friend Sonal brought us here and it did not disappoint. The staff was superb and food delicious. It's clean, nice ambiance, nice for occasion or casual meal. The menu clearly distinguishes between vegetarian, vegan and gluten free if different diets are a concern. Everyone can find something to enjoy and the staff was so great we never felt rushed on a busy Saturday night.

Very tasty Indian restaurant in the heart of D.C.
Came on a date and sat at the front-most table in the street-facing alcove, best table in the place imo with good views of both the restaurant and the street vibe. Drinks were very good. I recommend the Cardamom Gimlet if you're a fan of gin. Wife got the Pinky Up and also enjoyed it very much. I can't recommend the 'tellicherry hangar steak' enough, it was DELICIOUS and I'd order it a thousand times. Plenty of Gluten-free items on the menu as well; staff are aware of cross-contamination with wheat as well; I got my steak with the naan on a separate plate so my wife could try it. She had butter chicken and it was very on point to the traditional recipe, if maybe a bit sweeter. Overall a solid 'would definitely go again'.
With a warm vibe and divine flavors, this spot consistently delivers delicious dishes that keep everyone coming back for more.

The vibe was so warm and friendly, and the food absolutely delicious. I wasn’t very hungry and I avoid gluten which is usually a chore to navigate at restaurants. But the restaurant owner recommended the Samosa Chana Chaat which was DIVINE. Perfect flavors, portions, This spot is nowhere close to home but I’m already plotting my return.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with outdoor seating, dog-friendly vibes, and quick service for a relaxed dining experience.

I absolutely love the vibe of this spot. It’s super casual. You order off a QR code and then order at the bar for drinks. You can tell it’s a real locals spot. We got the butter chicken and chicken tikka and added “celiac-gluten allergy” when ordering and didn’t have a problem. Best Indian food I’ve personally ever had.
We had a great dinner here. The food was delicious, with great portion sizes for the cost. The atmosphere was great - nice decorations, dishes, table clothes, etc. Definitely would be a good date spot. Also, I am allergic to gluten, and the staff was very knowledgeable and able to serve us a delicious gluten free meal. Strongly recommend!

What we’ve had of the “Pakistani & Indian cuisine” has been is amazing. The only reason for 4 stars is the service. Not a friendly or particularly accommodating vibe, but it’s worth dealing with it for the delicious food. The spinach and potatoes are probably my favorite of any location in the area. Farmer Chicken Kebab is wonderful. Beef kebab is spicy and tasty. The rice has light aromatic flavors like cardamom. I plan to delve more into the curry next!
For my Gluten Free friends, the menu nor the staff could identify if there was gluten in the dishes. Not ideal. I rolled the dice and made educated choices... From my experience, the beef kebab, chicken kebab, spinach and potato, chickpeas and rice are GF, but I wish you luck.
This is my go-to for celiac safe takeout near me. Communication about allergies can be a bit difficult in person, but I’ve never gotten glutened from BSF. Recommend the butter chicken- very tasty!
