As someone with celiac disease, finding safe and delicious gluten-free options can be a challenge, but Pondicheri absolutely delivers! Their menu has so many naturally gluten-free dishes, and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. It’s such a relief to enjoy incredible Indian-inspired food without worrying about cross-contamination.
Everything I’ve tried has been packed with flavor, fresh, and so thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is also warm and inviting, making it a great spot for anything from a casual lunch to a special night out. If you’re gluten-free (or just love amazing food), this place is a must-visit!

Love this place. So many gluten free options, the food is good quality and the prices are really reasonable. The gluten free mango cheesecake is amazing! Not cloyingly sweet.
Prepare to be wowed by the stunning interior and inviting vibe, perfect for a post-temple visit to relax and enjoy some great vegetarian bites!

Staff were extremely nice and the environment was inviting. The food is vegetarian, and some were vegan and gluten free. It’s all quality and amazing for the price! I definitely recommend checking it out!

Most restaurants prefer we go elsewhere (one vegan and one gluten-free). Not Himalayan Taj. They were incredibly gracious, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The options for both of us were extensive. Even better, the options were delicious. We had amazing appetizers, soup, salad, and entrees. Service was wonderful. Nice wine list, too. So glad we found this local gem of a restaurant.

MAHARAJA BHOG
I recently visited Maharajah Bhog restaurant, my favorite spot that I always make a point to visit whenever I’m in Houston, USA. Having dined at various places across many countries, I can confidently say that Maharajah Bhog in Houston is my absolute favorite.
Their delicious Gujarati thali is unparalleled, and what truly stands out is their exceptional care for dietary needs and allergies. Whether you require gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, Jain, or Swaminarayan options, they ensure you receive the same variety of food as everyone else, without compromising on taste or quality.
I visited with my family, and their attention to detail and commitment to accommodating dietary restrictions made the experience even more special. The staff, manager, and owner are incredibly welcoming and provide excellent service, always ready to assist with a smile.
I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and inclusive dining experience. It’s truly a gem!
Packed with flavor and a massive dosa, this spot shines with its variety of vegetarian options, but clearer menu labels would help.

I ordered via UberEats Eat. I got the Masala dosa. The dosa was huge! It was also packed full of flavor. It would be extremely helpful if the menu was clearly labeled vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. Please take this into consideration. I even looked at your actual restaurant menu and it is not clearly labeled. I love how many vegetarian options there are. I cannot speak for the ambience because I did not dine in.
A welcoming spot with a cozy vibe, amazing service, and attention to detail, but watch out for the tiny bathrooms!

I came with my family for an early bday lunch and we had such wonderful service. I have celiacs disease and the server informed me (after I told him to bring the bread separate and not have it touch anything) that the BBQ platter had a meat item with wheat in it. He then proceeded to bring me a gluten free menu and made sure to bring all my foods separate from my family’s. His name was Rahul and he was such a friendly and accommodating server. He didn’t make me feel like I was difficult for having my disease. The food was amazing and the environment is nice. Only downside is tiny bathrooms haha
The owner was super nice. Great customer service, they explained the different sauces and how they could be used for the dish. The Magic idlis were very scrumptious and we'll seasoned and paired well with the more creamy sauce. The stuffed idlis were very delicious as well, with the curry inside I felt like I could eat them without sauce at all and the fact that both idlis were made with rice is fantastic! I started loving samosas because of whole foods but Flying Idlis took it to a whole new level. The Crepe was huge and we'll seasoned, honestly all the meals were huge and could have been eaten by themselves. The price point on these meals can not be beat in comparison to other offerings and the density of nutrition is astounding we were full for hours. They add an amazing Vegan and Gluten free option to the city that I have come to enjoy. 😀😋
Gluten free menu and helpful staff was willing to look up ingredients for other allergies. Thais spicy fried rice is really good. Thai stir fry if you want more veggies in your meal. Tiki marsala is ok. A variety of gluten free options, we have integrated them into our restaurant choices.

Experience a posh afternoon with fancy tea selections, a multi-course setup, and a kid-friendly menu that might be a sugar rush.

Disclaimer: I've only had traditional afternoon tea service. My friend enjoys it, so I've gone twice, still not seeing the appeal. I imagine (and heard) the actual Indian food is good.
Afternoon Tea: The tea is very good, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, and premixed chai that's sweet and spiced. Several-course thing with tiny appetizer, scone, sandwiches, including cucumber, and a dessert tower. If you're into British traditions, seems legit. The scones came with clotted cream (and jam).
Fancy tea time will never be my thing, but my friend told them we were gluten-free, and they served us the same menu, only g-free, besides one small puff pastry, including our own g-free dessert tower, which was very nice.
Also, they had a kids' menu, which was really nice, but had a lot of sugar on it--milk shake option, plus 4 servings of dessert at the end--2 cookies, ice cream, and some kind of cake, all for one kid, which to me, is a lot.
So, excellent service, inclusive menu, try some other meal than the tea service, expensive.
Expect a clean vibe with attentive service and a diverse menu that caters to every preference, making it a must-visit spot.

Clean and friendly, can't have a good restaurant experience without that as a start.
Staff was attentive but also I saw a time or two when we got a peek from the server, she could tell we didn't need anything and she let us be. I though that was nice b/c sometimes staff actually comes by TOO often.
Food was very good - steak, apps, snapper and short rib were ordered around the table and everything was cooked to order and very tasty. Our server asked if we had short ribs before and explained that she checked with people first b/c they are so fatty and that could be off-putting to someone who maybe didn't expect that. We did expect that so it wasn't news to us, but I thought it was a nice touch that she took a minute to make sure we would get something that we would like.
Quite a variety on the menu so we will definitely be back. One great thing about their menu is that there are gluten-free and veggie options, and they have numerous dishes with an 'omnivore' version directly followed by a veggie version which is pretty nice to see.
Will be back for sure.
