A large group of us. The staff were well prepared and friendly. Yhe choice of cakes for the cream tea was excellent. Gluten free catered for but needs prior notice that, that would be needed.
Enjoy a vibrant venue with a diverse menu, quick service, and delightful drink options that'll satisfy any craving.

There is no designated disabled parking. There is a wheelchair ramp however the inside door was locked. Husband had to go all the way round to open it. It is bigger than I thought and the interior is nice. The servers were nice and friendly. The food was very tasty if on the pricey side. £15.95 for handmade pie and chips and £12.95 for a sandwich and half a cup of soup. Unfortunately they have no specialist coffee or even a simple machine that makes lattes and the only coffee is filter coffee which unfortunately was not good and tasted burnt. My Husband went to use the men's toilets where there was only one stall that was out of order, he had to use the disabled toilet which was rather smelly and although not disgusting it was not very clean either. We went to check out the gluten free menu which others had said was good and we were a bit disheartened by the I think 2 choices. Sorry to say that I will not be going back as although the food was tasty the whole experience and lack of gluten free options means our family is limited.
A vibrant spot with a fantastic selection and a welcoming vibe, perfect for groups and those seeking satisfying meal options.

What a fantastic restaurant with the most delicious food! We booked for a large group of 15 and the staff were incredible - great service and very friendly. The food was incredible too! They even have gluten free pizza.
Very disappointed, chose a gluten free option on the menu to be told it’s not gluten free as the sauce was a “may contain gluten’ product.didnt eat there as wasn’t sure if other options on menu may have same issues
Shouldn’t list something as gluten free if it isn’
It was the salmon which was listed as gluten free but the waitress say it wasn’t ,it was may contain gluten
Wanted to try somewhere new, it offered Gluten free options on menu. When ordering they said they were out of the gf bread... I bought some bread from a shop next door and they were happy to make the order with an amendment - no sauce. Order came wrong first as with sauce (which contained gluten). But they changed it happily (using more bread).
However, when the food did arrive it was delicious! Worth the wait and will return.
Some of the food vegan and gluten free options, maybe waiting time is long sometimes but really worthed to try beer burger, sweet potatoes salad, toasts with asparagus, avocado and spinach, and really tasty potato wedges
What an amazing intimate restaurant find - serving excellent food! We were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary and we’re made to feel very welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble especially as I am a coeliac - everything cooked from scratch. Absolutely the best meal ever and super polite, friendly staff. Would rate it higher than 5 stars if I could.
Tasty takeaway options and a vibrant atmosphere await, but be ready for steep stairs and a potential wait for a busy table.

Ended up getting takeaway from here as it was madly busy, but the pizza was really tasty even on a gluten free base. I had the vegetariana which includes spinach and artichokes. Best to pre-book at busy times, but you are able to wait for a table and have a drink while you wait if you want to. Parking is at one of the public car parks. The restaurant is located up quite steep stairs - not sure if there is a lift.
A recent takeover has freshened things up while keeping some favorites, offering reliable options and eco-friendly takeaway containers.

Visited from Peel for a rare treat for my Coeliac daughter
I decided to pick my daughters up from dance class with a rare treat. Before I get into the review, I should note that the chips were untouched for around 20 minutes as I drove to my girls. However, as someone who has often had to wait 20 minutes to eat a chippy tea—and occasionally suffered a less-than-perfect chip as a result—I was still gutted by what we received.
First, I want to highlight that the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and couldn’t have been more helpful. The additions to the chips (chicken, sausages, etc.) were also very good—crispy and cooked as expected from a quality chip shop.
However, I’m sorry to say that the chips themselves didn’t meet expectations. By any standard, and especially for a chip shop, they were disappointing. The chips were undercooked on the inside, overcooked on the outside, and noticeably greasy. Unfortunately, my Coeliac daughter—who was so thrilled with her surprise—was visibly disappointed, and her chips ultimately ended up in the bin.
Living in Peel, we’re perhaps spoiled with consistently good chips out west, but I would expect any chip shop to get the basics right. I knew something was off the moment I opened my dinner.
I realize this feedback might come across as overly harsh, but it’s rooted in genuine disappointment with our meal this evening. Without an email address to contact the owners directly, this public review feels like my only option to share our experience.
That said, we will visit again, as I understand that mistakes happen and no one gets it perfect every time. I just hope that, next time, the chips live up to the otherwise excellent service and atmosphere. After all, when chips are the cornerstone of your business, they really need to be spot on.
An unexpected gem with a warm vibe, where the owner goes above and beyond to create a delightful experience for hungry visitors.

We rocked up after lunch service had finished, a family of 7 hungry people. The owner was superb. He went back into the kitchen, switched everything back on and prepared for us, 7 lovely, meals. Nothing was too much trouble and he was welcoming and we had some nice chats.
Food was excellent. The home cooked chips were better than from a fish & chip shop. They were so fresh and cooked lovely.
Excellent wee find. Lovely atmosphere. Great food. Superb host!
Highly recommended, oh, and as one of us is a coeliac so needs gluten free, that wasn't an issue either.
I'm back on the Isle in 4 weeks and will definitely pop back in for lunch!

What a fantastic meal we had last week at the Royal India. One of the best Indian meals we have had for a very long time. The service was excellent and they catered well for my Gluten intolerance. We would recommend it to anyone who is in Peel and would like an excellent meal. You could not ask for better.

Superb Food !
We had three Courses, my absolute Favourite being the Queenie Pancake Starter. The Fish Pie was to die for, a cocktail Menu where you are spoilt for Choice, Mocktails very good, we also had a Gluten Free Diner which was no problem. Very attentive service and a lovely atmosphere. We will reccomended to friends. I was also delighted to find the Restaurant featured in a Cook Book I bought this morning, The Island Kitchen Volume 2 and hey presto there was the recepie for Queenie Pancakes! Thank you. We will be back at some point.
One of the few places offering gluten-free pizzas I've come across anywhere; and one of the very select few that make their own GF on the premises while you wait. The chef is trying to perfect his recipe: and it already compares well with the best I've tasted.
