I had dinner with colleagues at this restaurant. What can I say, as an Italian, reviewing an Italian restaurant abroad in a positive way is really complex but I had a great time here. Starting from the very vast menu in Italian (with many vegan and gluten-free options), the exceptional service: the Italian waitress was perfect with our table, and the taste of the dishes was well balanced! I'm really happy and can't wait to go back.

What a lovely restaurant. Met friends in town for lunch. Had a great meal and they catered well for our coeliac gluten free friend. Good selection of wines to accompany our 3 course lunch. Would highly recommend the specials.

Went for lunch, great space very warm light and good space between tables not crowded,
Menu is easy to understand and great gluten free options, I like some dishes have wine recommendations next to them, I ordered the meatballs and beef ragu with gluten free pasta
The meatballs where great but highlight was sauce great flavours, mains was beef ragu with gluten free pasta, this was great dish nice balance of sauce and meat, again u can taste slow cooked flavours.
Only critique I have is on the sunday I went the waitress was trying to manage too many tables and I had to wave call out to get her attention few times.
Savor delightful Italian tapas with generous portions and reasonable prices, making it a great choice for sharing and returning for more!

First time visiting Pesto and very impressed. Italian tapas!!! Portion sizes are very decent and the price reasonable. Would probably recommend 3 different portions. The wife, who's not a big eater, managed 2. Good gluten free range which is always a bonus. Will definitely be going back.

Dee served us at the Birmingham Bullring branch and really made our night. She was attentive, professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We dined with a coeliac at the table and she was extremely averse with the menu and all of the dietary requirements for our friend. She helped us and literally was the reason we would love to come back :)
Been going here since it opened and the staff are always welcoming, friendly and attentive. They always cater for my wife who is coeliac (gluten free) and are happy to adapt anything they can. Food is always cooked well. Can't wait to go back!

Little Italian restaurant with a great location next to St Paul Square at just a few mins away from the busy City Centre.
As an Italian I can say the food tastes authentic, furthermore the portions are good sizes and well presented.
The menu also presents plenty of Gluten Free and Vegan options and as stated by the owner, the recipes are completely customizable to meet dietary requirements and taste preferences.
The atmosphere is lovely with the soft light, making it a perfect romantic dinner experience if you would.
The price is fair considering all the above.
100% recommended, I have been there three times and I definitely will come back!

Avoid if Gluten Intolerant.
The menu does not contain any indication or options for people who dine gluten-free unfortunately. They do not serve gluten-free pasta for example, and most of the menu items are not gluten-free or cannot be adjusted to be gluten-free.
We raised these concerns and asked to settle the bill for drinks and leave, the restaurant gracefully waived our bill.

Ordered on Ubereats last night. Arrived very late at 10:40pm, ordered at 8pm :/ . Dripping in oil, literally! Looked like it was reheated. Didn’t taste as good as last time. Was up all night with diarrhoea and vomiting. It was gluten free. Not sure if it was also cross contaminated. I left most it is 🤢

Fantastic place , people were lovely very friendly , atmosphere relaxed . Im gluten free and the staff were quick to point out what I could and couldn't have even did gluten free pasta . And the creme brulee was to die for . Will definitely be going back and would recommend to everyone.
