As someone who is newly gluten free and visiting Chicago for the first time, I was overwhelmingly satisfied with both the food and welcoming/accommodating service here. Our server was kind and efficient and our food was outstanding. While only staying five days here in Chicago, both my mom and I agreed to return here for dinner before we leave.

Our new neighborhood go to spot! Love this place. Great food, great service, great (dog friendly!) patio. I am gluten free and their gluten free pizza crust is one of my favorites in the city. They also have multiple different gf pastas that are all great! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable
Old school clean warm welcoming vibe. Best gluten-free hand made pasta I have had in my 25 years of being gluten-free. I had the shrimp diavolo, so many shrimp great rich flavor!

We went here for my wife's birthday. She has a gluten intolerance and other food allergies and the staff was extremely accommodating. The food was absolutely spectacular and the portions very generous. Our pasta came out so fast, we were shocked. I make my own espresso at home, but I am telling you the double they served me was the most luxurious thing I could imagine. I took a star off the atmosphere for a slight swampy smell. This may be from winter plumbing issues, but it was noticeable. Otherwise it was cozy and comfortable.

This adorable shop with the restaurant in back has been a favorite for years!
The service is exceptional as is the food.
This visit we tried the grilled calamari appetizer, gluten free gnocchi with vodka sauce and grilled chicken, and chicken with asparagus and roast potatoes with tiramisu for dessert. It was all delicious!
Our server was pleasant, knew all about the menu and made very good recommendations.
Lucia's is BYO, so be sure to bring a bottle of wine to complement your food if you'd like!!
