Food was to be expected as far as mass-produced "Italian" food goes. Sangria was great, red sauce was a little watery. Tour of Italy was good according to my spouse who can have gluten.
The vibe is lively, but the service could use some polish amidst the enjoyable meals and unexpected staff antics.

our meals were great, i love that one of my girls with celiac disease can actually enjoy a gluten free meal somewhere other than home. though, i will say that the cashier was a little rude but maybe she was just having a long or hard day! i’ve been a server for a while, and i completely understand feeling burnt out! she was very nice while serving us, though. one of the workers was had been walking around with music playing out of her phone, which was strange but not a big deal. better than the dead silent dining room. i got up to wash my hands before we left and heard yelling right before i opened the bathroom door, it was two workers arguing. i stood in the doorway for a few minutes listening, went and washed my hands, walked out, and they were still arguing. at this point someone was waiting at the counter to be taken care of. come on guys, take it outside, or atleast go father to the back of the kitchen. i had my 3 young girls with me, there’s no need to be fighting in front of them/loud enough the dining room can hear. it was stressing them out. we are definitely going to come back, we just hope for a better environment next time.
Overall it’s an average experience. Food was decent. They had a couple of gluten free option but when I asked for the spaghetti they came out with penne without letting me know so my shrimp scampi lost its appeal. Not to mention that I literally got 3 shrimp. For paying $21 for a pasta dish I thought this was pretty cheap on their end. The menu was mostly pasta options. Just a couple of other items $$$ that were not. Like I said it was ok. Nothing I’d go back for. But this is what Cookeville calls Italian. It’s the only option. The atmosphere was trying to be high end but misses the Italian vibe. The prices definitely were high end. Didn’t bother with a glass of wine or bottle to share, wasn’t worth the cost. So if you don’t know what good Italian actually is, this is great.
