All of the bakery treats are delicious here! Few gluten free options too which is awesome. Absolutely recommend sitting outside for morning tea/afternoon tea on a sunny day.

Cannot reccommend Au Lac Woden enough! I have taken vegan/gluten free members of my family here many times and they always love it. I also love the vegan food, as I'm normally a meater eater. The customer service here is also immaculate. The staff are always so friendly and accomodating. One night I ordered takeaway to the wrong Au Lac (Dickson shop) and a staff member offered to cook me the dish from scratch (free of charge) and called the Dickson store to let them know of the mistake. Honestly, one of the best restaurants in Canberra all around!

This cute place serves up instaworthy but also delicious food! Their deserts are spectacular visually and by taste. There are lots of sweet and savoury options for kids and adults alike and servings were generous. There are also gluten free, vegetarian and healthy options. We had the pumpkin soup, the Moroccan salad with lamb and the cheeseburger. All were delish! And the coffee is good to round up the meal. Street parking is everywhere. Place is easily accessible being on the ground floor and in the corner. There are 2 unisex toilets on the premise.

Good food. Beautiful view. Not a quiet venue. We had salt and pepper squid and a burger, all gluten free. Squid was fine, the salad that came with it was odd but lovely. All in all I enjoyed my meal.

My first experience here. Went here with my mate and is all gluten free and vegetarian. I am not a vegetarian but I gave it a go. I was pleasantly surprised 🤯 the food was nice and very flavoursome. The coffee was great and scones fantastic. The best thing was the service, prompt and friendly. Will visit again.

Consistently great food and coffee. Staff are polite and friendly. The only reason I shop at Southlands Mawson is to have a break at Guru. It's can be a busy little hub, but that usually is a good sign for a cafe. It's nice to sit outside under an umbrella when the weather is good. Love that they have lactose free milk and gluten free options too!

Booked myself and my mum in to try Kickin'Inn, on our trip down from Sydney to visit the Floriade for her birthday. It was definitely a highlight of our trip, and would absolutely come by again next time we visit Canberra! Fantastic service from the moment we walked in - waitstaff clearly explained the full menu, and Rabi was our highly attentive and friendly server for the rest of the night. Very spacious, bright, cosy and clean restaurant. We went 6pm on a Saturday night, at it was fairly quiet at the time (two other tables). We got the complimentary birthday Kickin' Shrimp Martini, Mini Mixed Bag with Kickin' Sha Bang sauce, 'Spicy' level, and a side of toasted garlic bread - and as it was my mum's birthday dinner, Rabi served us a complimentary mud cake with a candle, which was so lovely. We were equipped with a bib and gloves, and were given the option to use plates/cutlery, but of course opted to use our hands (food always tastes better, eating with your hands). Food in summary: - Absolutely wowed by the Martini! It was huge, and we couldn't believe it was complimentary. The shrimp and chips were hot and crispy, with a delicious special sauce (like a slightly spicy thousand island - creamy, tangy, a little spicy, sweet), and the lettuce really balanced out the dish. The shrimp was tender and plump under the golden crunchy coating. Really delicious, highly recommend. - The Mini Mixed Bag was a great first foray into eating at Kickin'Inn! The little baby octopus was a star - perfectly tender with a bit of bite. Prawns were also tender and juicy, and the mussels were briney and sweet (the shells also worked well to scoop up the sauce and the rice). I also feel like I have to mention that the rice on the side was really good - very fragrant, perfect texture. We chose 'Spicy', which isn't very spicy (to compare, it's less spicy than sriracha), so looking forward to trying some of the hotter sauce options next time. The Kickin' Sha Bang lives up to its name - it's kickin'. Aromatic and very well rounded, super flavoursome, but not overbearing. - Garlic bread was piping hot and so buttery. Crispy on the edge and so fluffy in the middle. - Overall it was a lot of food for us two, so we got to pack some to go in a cardboard takeaway container. - The mud cake was also delicious - not too sweet, very chocolatey and moist. It's also gluten free, halal and vegan, for those looking for these options. A very sweet end to the meal! Overall, would definitely recommend, and would love to come by again next time!

Instead of a couple of gluten-free options, more than two-thirds of the menu here is gluten free. The amount & intensity of the wasabi varies at times, but the sashimi always seems fresh. There is a very quiet, glassed-enclosed, dining room with paper lanterns & pendant lighting. No power points, but the manager is happy for people to work here on their laptops. If you prefer green tea & miso soup to coffee, and your laptop has plenty of charge, then this just might be one of the more elegant mobile-office spaces in Gunners.

Delicious and generous fish and chip portions according to my husband. It's a shame they don't cater their fish and chips to my gluten free or dairy free requirements, however they are able to do gf/df pizzas and gosh they taste so good! For a minute I mistakened it for the real deal 😋 will definitely be back.

We’ve had pizzas from here delivered to us a few times now and they have always arrived hot and pretty quickly. We order gluten free bases, and they’re way better than their other big chain competitors (around here) gluten free bases.

I was told the gluten-free banana cake is also dairy-free. I'm very sensitive to lactose and didn't have my pills for lactose intolerance with me. I would have been happy with just the lovely coffee, which I ordered with with lactose-free milk. Afterwards I got all my usual nasty lactose symptoms. I'd eaten nothing before that. So, either the banana cake wasn't dairy-free, or the milk in the coffee wasn't lactose-free. Dairy-free/lactose-free items shouldn't be made on machinery where normal milk is used. Otherwise, it's the perfect little cafe! 🙂

Showed me labels of things and letting me check and decide if they were unsure. So fantastic to have this simple ability when so many places will not look and just say they don't know.

Absolutely excellent service. My partner is a severe celiac so eating out is very very hard. The wonderfull lady who greeted us described all our options, explained how its cooked and what we could and couldn't eat/touch/use. Portion sizes were great and prices very reasonable for what we got. Quick and friendly service without any judgement for having food allergies. We will be coming back!

I tried grilled pork vermicelli salad then a tofu one another time, and they were great! Love the vegetarian/gluten-free option for the sauce, but I will stick with fish sauce (for now). Cheers!
