It was good to eat dinner here. We would come here again.
Location: Central, close to shops. Access: Close to parking, wheelchair and pram friendly. Cleaniness: Hand-gel for Covid. Tables wiped. Atmosphere: Good ambience, including sunken sitting Japanese room and table seating.
Availability: We did need to book ahead for mid-week. There were adequate dine-in seats. Waiter service.
Food & drinks: Menu included set menu, snack size and full size meals, salads, and catered for vegetarian, gluten free. Comprehensive drinks menu included Japanese sakes, wines, beers, cocktails.
I had teriyaki chicken [which was fair] and egg plant [which was great].
Drinks, beer and wine list matched the menu.

Lovely dinner with friends. Could not fault the food. Friendly service. Just a little noisy with so many hard surfaces. Shared a couple of entrees with friends and had a main course and desert each. Gluten free available
Adventurous modern Thai. The $90 tasting menu provided delicious novel dishes. The tropical pomelo salad with Morton bay bugs was the standout. The signature watermelon salad with salmon was polarising, combining sweet and salty flavours with a salmon “floss”. All the dishes had complexity and depth of flavour and were well-balanced. The menu accommodates gluten free and vegetarian noting a lot of dishes contain soy sauce. The only thing that let the experience down was the service - we waited over an hour for our first dish, which felt very long having been for a 7km hike beforehand!
