Today loved popping in as it has been a while. But is my always go to in Tweed when visiting my parents across the border. What lacks is I miss them serving MaccaMilk ☹️ so I ordered just my usual iced latte but hold the milk (as I had my maccamilk on me prepared) but was still charged fully is a bit much. I was very sad to see all the GF options like banana breads were sold out as one of the reasons I love stopping by. So didn’t get anything to eat sadly. I do miss popping in to sit and eat as used to do this almost weekly when I was working last year. Sadly not in my budget to do so anymore but gosh it was lovely driving through to eat and have a quiet moment. Always had something on the menu for me as coeliac to eat safely and be super tasty.

Saw that there was a regular looking take-away store near where we were going for a walk and thought. Sure that'll do. Wow was I surprised. The burgers here far exceeded expectations. Gluten free and vegetarian options aren't just okay, they are delicious and well considered. Not just one vege option but multiple. The chips were crisp and kept a crunch even after sitting for a while. And I have to mention the service. So considerate! Checking in with us about our dietary requirements and just so lovely in general. I will definitely be visiting again when I'm back in the area.
