We ordered but we were not told they weee about to close. I got the gluten free flake at $10. Then we had to go outside in the rain and eat it. My dreams of a big battered flake were gone. The chips weren’t even that good either
Crafted with care, this spot offers standout pizza and delightful coffee, but be ready for a bit of a splurge on your meal.

I adore the carbonara from here, and the pizza is amazing. However, you can tell that they do not use Italian pasta, as non-Italian pastas use flours containing pesticides that is often the cause of people believing that they have gluten intolerance when really, it is just the flour used. This is fine, I don't mind getting gluten-free pasta instead.
The real killer, however? The price. For a family of four who each get a main meal (which is decently sized but not above average) and one drink each, and perhaps a serve of garlic bread, it easily comes to $200+. Yes, it's nice food, but for the quality of the ingredients used, the prices are ridiculous. We can hardly ever afford to eat here, as much as we love it.
If price is not an issue for you, I definitely recommend it, but it's sad how much of a hole one meal from here burns in our pocket.
A standout venue for large events with attentive service, a thoughtfully decorated space, and a well-organized experience that impresses everyone.

I recently had the pleasure of organising a Christmas function for 103 people. Many other venues in the Victor Harbor that could possibly accommodate our required numbers, didn't seem at all interested in having our club patronize their business. But, from the first enquiry to the final day, the event manager and staff of the Hotel Crown bent over backwards to ensure our event was a success.
The menu consisted of choices from a selection of 3 entrees, 3 main courses, 3 sweets, (including vegetarian and gluten free catered for) a tea and coffee station, exclusive bar service and even included bon bons which no other venue would consider, all for the price of $40 a head. No outrageously inflated prices because of the word 'Christmas' included in our event.
The room was beautifully decorated and set up according to our needs, PA system, and a screen for a PowerPoint presentation The food was served to the time schedule I gave the staff as we had speeches and a Christmas performance to include in our event. I can't thank the manager, chef and staff for making our Christmas lunch such a success. It's no easy task serving 3 courses to 103 guests and they did a magnificent job with such a fantastic, happy, obliging demeanour. Thank you. I can highly recommend the Hotel Crown for such a large event. PS My 3 courses were very yummy!
Lots to love about this place, but they mistakenly served my coeliac friend gluten, causing severe sickness, they admitted they had stuffed up which was great, but offered no compensation, not even a refund, please double check if have food allergies.
This spot offers stunning sea views, making it perfect for a relaxed morning coffee or breakfast by the water.

We visited on boxing day.
Being a busy & touristy location, I was hesitant.
However, I was pleasantly surprised.
Food was lovely & so was the staff.
They have gluten free options & lactose free milk.
Food was a little exxy, but you are paying for the location as much as the food.
Definitely recommend if you're in the hood.
Great coffee, gluten free good choice of cakes and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I will definitely return when I am back at Victor Harbor!
