As I said when I described our visit to the Dandenong Ranges we went to the 1000 Steps Cafe and enjoyed some coffee and cake. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the Cafe has a good selection of food and cakes, including some gluten free options. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery and the birds which included a kookaburra, some rosellas, magpies and a few small birds. Highly recommend a visit if you haven't been there before, we will definitely be going back soon.
Cozy and spacious with cheerful vibes, it's the perfect spot to relax by the wood fire after a quick takeaway or a leisurely sit-down meal.

Beautiful cheerful service, cosy cafe that is a lot bigger than it looks on the outside.
They have gluten free bread and can make anything on the menu with it, on top of that they also have food in the counter that is gluten free.
Nice and warm with a wood fire and I suspect other heating as well.
Got take away this time around as was in a hurry, but will definitely be back and will sit down and enjoy a meal inside there next time.
A hot spot for flavorful dishes with a passionate owner, this place guarantees an enjoyable experience and welcoming vibe.

Went there on Saturday Night with my Girlfriend and the food was awesome. I am Gluten intolerant and the staff were very helpful with what I could order. Had the beans, potatoes brisket and beef Rib. All were so delicious we will be going back asap. Spoke to the owner/Chef and he was a lovely bloke that is passionate about his food. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
