As a family we have been going to coronation chippy for years and their food has always been good. But on the last 3 occasions it hasn't been so good especially on Monday 14th April 2025 which is gluten free night and we purchased 2 gluten free cod and chips and gluten free pineapple fritter a battered sausage and a normal pineapple fritter which came to just under under £25. When we got home to eat it, everything was overcooked and hard. The chips burnt and crispy. The cod was mostly batter hardly any fish. And the batter was solid. The same with the normal battered sausage and chips. We ended chucking most of it away and was very disappointed with it. We hope it improves otherwise we won't be purchasing from here again.

I had the Gluten Free Cod and Chips meal last night and I was absolutely amazed at how good it was, it really was the best gluten free meal I've tasted in years, crispy batter surrounding a generous portion of cod, proper old fashion chips, minted mushy peas, tartar sauce and a slice of lemon. Heavenly!

100% the best gluten free burger I've ever eaten! The staff were so friendly & super catering for my needs. They got my order wrong by accident but realised without me even saying a word & had no issue with going & making me a fresh burger (even left the incorrect one to save waste...safe to say they were both eaten!)
