Another choice for gluten-free, and they were delicious! The family had a selection of items from the menu, and they were really happy with their meals, and as said, the gluten-free fish and chips were delicious. We'll definitely be calling in again on our way past!

We’ve been to Machynlleth 3 or 4 times but had never visited the Royal House before. To be fair, it’s always been in season and the queue has always been massive to get in here… But arriving in November, we could get a seat easy enough, the staff immediately put a heater on for us and we had the surprise of loads of vegan and gluten free options!!!
Wifey had the vegan lasagne, which was rich and moreish, I had the gluten free and vegan sweet potato pie and our buddy had a gluten free and vegan leek quiche. Proper portions too! Big slabs of pie and side salad….
Really delicious.
We got some pastries to take with us, the vegan gluten free raspberry flapjack was delicious.
The cafe is dog friendly too!
And the real surprise was at the end…. 2 pots of tea, lasagne, pie, quiche all for £20!!!!! We couldn’t believe it!

Actually the best curry I have had in a long time- I ate it so quickly and definitely wanted to go for seconds! I’m coeliac and they were very good explaining which items were gluten free and also said they could alter items so that I would be able to eat! Lovely staff, very clean space and also had board games for us to play when waiting for the food (which also came quickly). 10/10 recommend!
Lovely food. Staff are welcoming, polite, professional and friendly. Options of eating in, sitting out on the front or take away. There are a few vegan options and gluten free too. I had the vegan breakfast, which was filling and delicious. I also had a vegan & gluten free choc & orange tart for dessert, I'd love the recipe.. it was divine 😋😋❤️ They have soya and oat milk as a vegan option for hot drinks too. They are a dog friendly cafe 🐕
