Just moved next door from this place and finally came out. Couldnt be happier between the gluten free options and the polite service this place is a must in the pekin peoria area!
Ginger Asian Bistro has been a staple in our family for years. The food is consistently served hot and well prepared.
OVERALL: The place is clean; it does look worn down, but the quality of the food FAR outweighs the aesthetics of the business.
SERVICE: Service is fast enough, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The owner always takes time to go out of her way to talk to the regulars. Gingers offers takeout.
IS IT CLEAN? Yes, the floors and tables are consistently clean even when busy. The restrooms are clean and always seem to be stocked.
COST: Cost is pretty good, and most items are priced well for the amount you get.
FOOD: GREAT! Food is freshly made, presented well, and has many unique flavors. The food is authentic Chinese and definitely worth trying a variety of things. I like the boiled fish/beef and the black peppered beef, which I usually switch to chicken. There is a great variety, and it is Kid-friendly (as long as your kids like trying other ethnic foods).
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS? They have a gluten-free section on their menu.
My family and I have been going to Hacienda for about 10 years and we are never leaving! The food has so much flavor and there are many options to choose from. My favorite is the Tacos Al Pastor because the pineapple pairs perfectly with the marinated pork. Also, the staff is super friendly, helpful, and hardworking. My mom needs corn tortillas because of a gluten allergy and they have never messed up her order! Plus the restaurant is very clean, even the bathrooms. The atmosphere is very festive with music and several TVs. They also have new outdoor seating which is nice! We’ve tried other Mexican restaurants in the area and this one is our favorite! 10/10 would recommend. Support the locals!
