I can't believe I have lived in Metairie area my entire life and ate here for the first time last week! This place is amazing all around! We went on a Sunday night and there was a 25 minute wait and now I know why. Once seated, Mary our server greeted us. I told her that I had to follow a gluten free diet then she proceeded to point out numerous dishes that are GF and could be made GF (even though the menu had most things already marked GF). The eggdrop soup was my app, delicious. Vegetable fried rice, perfect! And curry chicken in a delicious sauce with veggies, wow! Mary gave me additional sauces that were all GF. The portions are large, so you can definitely split dishes with someone else. I highly recommend this restaurant! Can't wait to go again! Oh, and the atmosphere was dark, but not too dark and really interesting to look at!
Don’t come here if you’re really hungry. The portions are very small. I had a chicken salad sandwich w/potato salad. The potato salad came as a tiny, rounded ice cream scoop that I ate in 3 bites.
My wife had a breakfast sandwich w/ a side of fruit. The fruit was EXACTLY 3 red grapes, 1 strawberry, and 1 thin slice of orange🤦🏻♂️. I just finished my meal, and I’m still hungry.
However, the taste of the food was very good. The outside seating is nice and the staff is very polite.
I would not return here by choice, but we may eat here in the future because my wife likes the gluten free options. Happy wife, happy life..I guess🤷🏻♂️
MOLD in the smoothies and juices and food. Saw the kitchen, and they never use gloves or aprons or hair nets. Also they sometimes use gluten-based products when they run out of gluten-free products, but wont tell us when this substitution is made. This whole place is a health hazard.
Ordered from them today. Although the app is seriously highway robbery (menuexpress) the food here did not disappoint. I was thrilled that you're actually able to order VEGETARIAN options online. It's ridiculous that most places won't even give you that option. I've never had sushi in rice paper like this before, the rolls were fresh and decently sized and I didn't need to slather them in my gluten free soy sauce. Will definitely eat food from here again. And your delivery guy was absolutely delightful.
A popular family spot with generous portions, though service can be hit or miss at times.

A favorite lunch family go to! I only took one star off for service. I picked up my order a month ago and they mistakenly put soft tacos in the kids meal. When I tried to address it with the food handler he couldn't wrap his mind around it being gluten and that I needed a whole new meal. I never walked out of there more frustrated. But other than that one instance I always enjoy eating there. They are never skimpy with the portions!
Excellent customer service, the General manager was so friendly. The place is very clean and kid friendly. So many fresh options and gluten free options. Would come back again
We had such an awesome experience both times we went here. The food was awesome. They were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. It was a very setting. The owner came by and check on us. Definitely a must visit place in Mandeville.
Have dined there twice now. Outstanding view and the food is delicious. I have celiac and they take great care in preparation and I have had no issues. Highly recommend.

Haven't been in a while. Just as good or better but bring back the video games! Great pizzas! Gluten free options. Happen to have met the owners out one night - good people. Go support local business!
Sawasdee is my favorite Thai restaurant since moving back to the area. They are super-accommodating to vegan and gluten-free requests - almost everything on the menu can be ordered this way. My go-to dish is drunken noodles, but I also get the panang curry, and pad Thai. Their Thai tea is awesome, and they'll even make it with coconut milk for us. The mango sticky rice is amazing. 5 stars!
Exceptional attention to detail and a warm, accommodating vibe make for a fantastic dining experience, perfect for special occasions.

Just wanted to thank Rip’s, the owner and their team.
My wife has Celiac (Gluten Allergy) which can make dining out alittle tricky. We called a few weeks ahead for a Valentine’s Day reservation.
Rips and the team remembered about the allergy.
Not only did they remember but they were honest and accommodating with their menu once we arrived.
Anna our server was super helpful, patient and kind. Amazing service through and through.
Truthfully a 10/10 experience. Food, staff and the environment were all on point.
