Yanni Bistro is truly a hidden gem in Matthews, NC. I’ve been here a few times before and always loved their food—especially the salads, which are consistently fresh and flavorful. And let’s not forget the gingersnaps. It seems like every time I visit, they’re generously offering complimentary gingersnaps. Today, I stopped in on a whim during my day off and ordered a lavender latte with almond milk and a gluten-free BLT. I decided to sit outside, soaking in the minimalist decor and letting the sound of birdsong become the soundtrack to my morning. Then something unexpected and lovely happened—the owner brought my BLT out to me personally and struck up a conversation. What started as a quick meal turned into a 30-minute, soul-filling talk about food, wellness, and the importance of clean ingredients. I learned that everything on the menu is sourced locally from the farmers market next door, and I could genuinely feel his passion and care behind every bite. Yanni Bistro gets 10 out of 5 stars for their incredible customer service, peaceful atmosphere, and commitment to healthy, locally-sourced ingredients. I am so restricted on what I can have for desserts due to dairy, gluten, & sugar. I can never eat dessert out and my husband found this amazing place!!! They have a small selection of sugar free options as well which is amazing!! The first time in 6 years I was able to have a waffle cone that was gluten free! The flavors are absolutely amazing! Definitely worth the drive!

I am leaving this review to give a very specific shout out to Janae - I have an allergy to wheat (Celiac), so when I found out that Mod offers safe pizza options I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one! Janae took my allergy extremely seriously including changing gloves, and even washing dishes before serving me. Her knowledge of my specific allergy was awesome and something I’m not used to. The pizza was SO good! I’m so excited that I can indulge in one of my favorite foods safely. Thank you Janae!

Overall great experience. It was our anniversary dinner with my wife and 2.5 year old. Service was great and so were the drinks and the food. They catered to my wife's gluten intolerance as well. We started with drinks, the Heatwave Martini was SO good (and spicy), as was the Strawberry Rose Sidecar. We ordered the Mussels Josephine for an appetizer- delicious. For entree, my wife got the Sea Bass and added a lobster tail, which was incredible. I got the Filet Mignon and added a lobster tail, also good. My son got fish sticks from the kids menu. For dessert we got the gluten free brownie with ice cream. I definitely recommend coming here. It is a chain, but better quality food than most.

Initially I was going to order burger with fries and a drink, until the very polite cashier told me my total was just short of $25. For a burger, fries, and drink! I told her nevermind the fries and drink, and paid the $16 for the gluten free burger with a cup of water. When my food came out, the bun fell apart in my hands, so I ditched the bun (which I paid a few extra dollars for) and ate the burger by itself. It tasted amazing without the sawdust GF bun. But I definitely left feeling like I got ripped off.

I used to get a gluten free pasta trio at Carrabbas that was delicious. I was a little disappointed that this option was no longer available on menu and not many actual gluten free pasta options. I got Chicken Marsala but there was no gf pasta with it. The food was good just minimal gluten free options.

At lunchtime, I had their brussel sprout salad with grilled chicken! Yummy!!!!!!! They have more than burgers here. Just about everything I've ever ate here has been good. They also have gluten free buns which is always a plus for me.

Very nice, there is no one that comes to your table your order at the counter but that was very ok. The guys where very knowledgeable about what they offered and helpful. Super polite.. my food was excellent. My margarita was topshelf.. I will definitely be eating here more often.. gluten free and fresh..

Food is delicious. Edit: There has been some misunderstanding I’m sure. I believe all the other orders have been gluten free. So when they were telling me when I was trying to order recently my usual that it wasn’t gluten free, it made me feel betrayed and confused. I wasn’t able to think at the time as I was hungry. After some time, I believe they were tired and was thinking of a whole different roll than I was, I just wish that if they have realized that, that they could of just mentioned or laughed it off and said something in the line of “ Oh, I was mentioning a whole different roll”

The steaks tonight we're impeccable...there were ten of us and not one of us had to return our steaks for being cooked wrong...with that said, it's a good thing we didn't have to return any one of them because our service was awful... I waited half of my meal to just get sweetener for my unsweet tea...and being a server myself, one of the cardinal rules is to ask if the customer would like desert...we were promptly given our chks, so that told us it was time to go... also, we had someone with us that had a gluten allergy and the server seemed perturbed about the questions she was asking about the menu....we will go back but if we see that it's the same guy waiting on us..we will ask for a different server...

Honestly from the moment we walked in, The Loyalist Market blew us away!! The people are just lovely, the charcuterie board was unique and delish. Cant wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. So many great offerings. Highly recommend! Even did great with gluten free

First time stopping here because it was near a work meeting. The weather was so nice so I sat outside on the patio. I love that they have gluten free crusts. I had the BBQ chicken gluten free pizza and it was so good! They also served me the best margarita I’ve had. It was extremely tasty. I would definitely come back and check out more items on their menu.

Said the wait would be 10-15 minutes for table ended up 25 minutes. The service was below average. One bartender said they had no gluten free beer and I mentioned that to another bartender who said they did and got it for me. Waitress never brought utensils we waited 5 minutes and asked another waitress. Asked for water, waitress brought water pitcher but no glasses.

I had savannah chopped salad with the seasoned chicken on it. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Many times, at other restaurants, I receive a dried out piece of chicken. This was great! I asked the girl if the chicken was gluten free, and she kindly went to the kitchen and found out for me. It was!! I was with my girls from church. About 12 of us. We ate, and chatted. They all loved their food ! And then the manager T.J. came over to us to make sure everyone was happy, we were !! He told us whatever we ever needed, that he would make it right ! I think might eat here once a week ! T.J. sealed the deal !!

Whenever we are in the area, we eat at Kabab-Je! The service is always friendly and impeccable; the food is consistently delicious! They offer a great selection for vegetarians and vegans, and have several gluten-free items. Don't miss the fried cauliflower, hummus, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, batata harra (spicy potatoes), or moujaddara. A great value for the money, too -- you won't leave hungry.

I walked up to the counter and informed the staff I have a gluten allergy, and they handled it with swift efficiency, immediately changing gloves, washing hands, and the same person handling my food all the way to checkout, to prevent cross contamination. My bowl never touched the counter. I will GLADLY visit this location again, and recommend it for anyone with an allergy!

Love this little nook! The only thing is the seating is limited indoors, it gets crowded quickly. The coffee is a miss for me. But I love getting the queen bee and adding an extra shot for flavor! The music is hit or miss for me. But never distracting or obnoxious. The muffins are lovely and the gluten free baked goods are so tasty. The folks who serve are lovely. And the aesthetic of the shop is nice. I love the old photos in the bathrooms, all the natural light and the fountain outside in the back, the hardwood flooring. And the artwork, notebooks, pens, mugs etc are wonderful. Absolutely lovely spot to hang in the spring and fall! They really did a wonderful job with the space they have. Just wish the coffee game was bumped up a bit. ;) that would be the icing on the cake! 💕

I've been here a few times and it's amazing every time. Service is always great. I had the Dragon Fruit the first time and the Lychee tea. So good. This family never disappoints. They also have a Poke no.1 and it's my favorite. So of course I have to check out the boba. I get something every time I go to the pet store so it's close by. Gluten and dairy free options available. What a find! Fresh, exciting preparations. Simple, functional decor. The focus is on the noodle dishes. Fantastic noodles! I had Sour & Spicy Glass Noodle Soup with ground pork, vegetables and peanuts. Waitress said it was spicy, and it did not disappoint. Delicious and plenty plenty of heat from fresh red and green peppers. Looked and tasted like homemade. Menu is substantial for a small Asian stop. Seven types of noodles...great gluten free options. I will be going back often and can't wait to bring carry-out home.

Love love love authentic delicious vegetarian and gluten free friendly veggie pho and yellow pancake is so yummy. Spring rolls are always fresh and amazing also. My hubs is a big meat eater and also loves everything he gets here as well. I saw one comment about the lack of depth of the pho broth - that is sort of the point. That’s why they bring all the add ins and have all those sauces. Pho is intended to be flavored to your taste and preference by you the eater not the chef!
