Having been living gluten-free for 6 years due to an autoimmune disease, the owner of this restaurant is always willing to work with me to substitute the ingredients and is very gracious in doing so. The food is delicious!

The major issue I had with my experience was that after explaining to the server that one guest was gluten free, there was no effort to explain what dishes fit that description and no GF soy sauce was brought until requested. The soy sauce they eventually brought was in a bottle that was not gluten free, but reused from a low sodium product and had to be verified. If someone says they're gluten free, this should set the server up to explain what's what and deliver items appropriate for that guest.
The food was tasty although I found the short rib to be tough. The sashimi pieces were smaller than I expected based on other restaurants I've been to. The group enjoyed their food. The side dish plates with the BBQ were small and didn't allow for sharing much.
The atmosphere was 'eh', although it was clean. For the price, I would expect a bit better overall experience.
